First impression:
When we arrived, it was past 3pm. We were given the room entry cards and when we opened the door, the room wasnt cleaned up yet. Quite a disappointment as the hotel wasnt even 70% full, according to the bell boy. We were subsequently made to wait for 10-15 mins and upgraded to a bigger room.

Room:
We requested a baby cot and as they ran out of the baby cot, they gave us an extra bed with no charge. Fortunately my kids are > 2 years old, else an extra bed would not help.
Overall the room was clean and decent, and the bathroom was quite spacious too.

Beach & Pool:
The beach was ok, except that sea sports operators and horse riding operators were allowed to operate there so it's not safe to swimming. Anyway, the stretch of beach outside of hotel was next to a drain to the sea so I wont recommend anyone to swim there. The beach was decent enough for some sand castle building though.
Pool was well maintained and clean. Staff were friendly too.

Location:
It was quite a distance from Georgetown and some distance from the happening stretch of Batu Ferringhi too. However, as we drove ourselves so it's not an issue.

The rest of the stay:
Our door cards were not working on the second day, and according to reception it was because they were placed next to mobilephone or electronic devices. I wasnt warned beforehand, and I actually didnt place both cards next to mobilephone. Anyway, reception was kind enough to send someone up instead of us going to lobby to get this resolved.


Overall I must say the hotel is ok for the service rendered. While there were some hiccups the staff have addressed them accordingly. We have not yet decided whether we would return though.

I would say this hotel is a complete place for a family vacation in Batu Ferringhi. There is a one big swimming pool consists of pool for adult, jacuzzi corner and pool for kids. There is a bar in the middle of the pool for those who loves to chill while swimming. The room is clean, spacious and complete with standard amenities. There is private beach for this hotel which has water sports like jet ski, banana boat, paraglider etc runs by the private operator. There is a garden in between the beach and the swimming pool for those who likes to hang around under the sun shaded by rows of trees. The staffs are helpful and friendly. In terms of breakfast, there are many choice of foods available and the cafe is an open air concept next to the swimming pool. There is kids centre as well provides by the hotel. This hotel just next to the Hard Rock Cafe, Penang. There is a groceries store just opposite to this hotel as well as a 'tom yam' restaurant and an arabic restaurant next to it. For those who are looking forward to visit the famous night market in Batu Ferringhi, it is a bit far from this hotel i.e at about 15 minutes walking distance (but if you really enjoy walking, i think it is nothing for you). In short, i recommended this hotel for those who wants to visit Batu Ferringhi. Hope my review may benefit you. Enjoy your stay....

We stayed here for a few days in a family room.

The room itself was super large and had plenty of stuff to make our accomdation really comfortable. The food was really nice as well and service was great and not lacking what so ever.

We tried the foot reflexology by one "Ricky 001", an absoute must try, he can be found just before going out to the beach, we did the water sports as well and found it really safe and well managed. One Sam and his team operates and runs this for the hotel and it was very well managed, my kids just loved every moment there.

The beach is nice, but please do watch out for jelly fish if your going to go swimming, else it's top notch.

The best part about the hotel is it's proximity to Hard rock (just next door), and the famous walk down the road which gives you so very much shopping and eating options, it's just heaven!

Lovely place and will certainly be booking here again.

We stayed in a family apartment with a view of the water. We found the staff to be very helpful our rooms were cleaned daily with no issue.

If you do stay and are in need of a massage make sure you find your way down by the gate to the beach - there is a masseuse there with wonderful skills. You also have the availability of reflexology massage by the poolside or sit in the pool at the bar - the frozen raspberry daquiris are yummy.

There is an excellent tailor onsite and on travelling up to Bangkok found Penangs tailors wayyy cheaper and great quality.

Also keep in mind you can use the service lifts if the other lifts are busy and they are just around the corner - not everyone gets this.

I would stay at Bayview again :)
