We decided to try out this bar after reading reviews on Tripadvisor and finding that all the hotel bars along the Batu Ferringhi strip are way overpriced. We arrived late afternoon and found a table that offered a great view of the beach area. Initially we were asked about food and drinks quite quickly, but after that the service declined rapidly. Yes the view is great and it is very pleasant enjoying a beer there at sunset. We had the grilled seafood dinners and the food was reasonable for the price. The service was another issue. We had to find our own cutlery as well as condiments and when it was time to pay the bill it took us about 10 minutes to attract a staff member to actually organise a bill for us. As there were at least four staff working in the area where we were seated chatting amongst themselves it is hard to know exactly why they couldn't find the time to wait on their customers. I notice that no one on here has mentioned the daily performance of towing the boats from the water sports facility up the beach while the customers watch on. The old Jeep was revved up and down the beach for about ten minutes to drag the first boat up the sand and then driven through the restaurant off the premises! This was repeated for the second boat a little later. Likewise a number of horses that were ridden down the side of the restaurant in front of the tables on the beach. As I said it aided to the theatre of the night, but hardly made for a romantic drink by sunset!
