Perfect place to spend a few days with someone special. Private pool, the possibility to eat beautifully prepared meals on the private deck. Intimate, romantic and will definitely return to escape the European winter again.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review on Tripadvisor with regards to your stay in Al Maha.

It is a pleasure to read that you chose to stay in our hidden gem in the desert as part of your escape from the cold and wet winter weather in Europe. Indeed this must be an extreme contrast! We are delighted to know that you had a truly perfect getaway and understand from your review you appreciated the privacy and comfort of the suites with private pool in particular.

We look forward to perhaps have the pleasure of welcoming you again next winter season…

Kind Regards,
Lara Keijzer

I am a horse racing addict and a visit to the Dubai World Cup was on my bucket list. I googled trips to the desert and found Al Maha and booked 3 nights as part of my Horse Racing trip.
Spent two great nights in the Sofitel and had a fantastic night at Meydan for the World Cup, but the visit to Al Maha was the highlight of the trip, even outdoing Meydan.
the place is fantastic, the rooms are great, large, comfortable, scenic, greta views (try get rooms about number 10 to 13), the food is fantastic with a great kenyan chef who also happens to be a arsenal fan to my delight, the staff are superb , helpful, attentive and not in your face over the top. A great mix of south africans, phillpinas, nelpalese, a wonderful mix of cultures of interesting people to chat with and the activities and guides are great.
Did not want to come home and will go back, highly recommended and a place not to miss.
thanks to all at al maya

You do wonder where on earth you're being taken. The answer is right out into the desert to a beautiful place. The Arabian Oryx and Gazelles wonder right up to your door. The accommodation is lovely the biggest bed and best pillows I've ever slept on. The views wonderful and the food amazing. Expect to put on weight, it's worth it. My favourite was a desert I tried for fun because it was made with camels milk called Um Ali - I then had one every day. The avocado smoothie at breakfast amazing and the Tomato Consommé superb. We chatted to the head chef and lets just say I'm not trying to make them at home. I rode the most beautiful arab horse in the arabian desert with a guide called Lawrence - really!! You must be a good rider those arabs are feisty it was an experience of a lifetime for me. The sundowners and camel rides excellent - clean, non smelly camels, the best, we checked them out first. Overall though you have to try i Al Maha to understand. It is first class in every way. The peace and solitude is amazing to be in the desert, totally private in your accommodation with your own pool well I'm not saying any more.

Room Tip: Our room was totally private but a five minute walk from the main building. We were glad of this as...

It is a delight to read that you appreciated so many aspects of our desert resort and indeed apart from putting on weight due to the delicious Um Ali, we are happy to hear all the rest was superb! It is indeed a unique experience to ride one of the Arabian horses at sunset and we are glad to know you were an experienced rider to have this opportunity together with our Field Guide Lawrence.
From your comments I understand that the cuisine offering were also a highlight for you and your appreciation of our cuisine has been shared with our Executive Chef David Miras and his team.

Have just spent two days at this wonderful secluded desert resort. This is an ideal place to relax and unwind wether you are living in Dubai or visiting the UAE.
I partically loved the concept of wild Gazelles and Arabian Oryz roaming freely. A pair of Gazelles quite happily slept in the bushes by our suite and took water from our infinty pool whilst we relaxed on our sunbeds. Nature and humans living in harmony.
The resort staff are truely professional and very welcoming. Special thanks to Myat who arranged a belated wedding anniversary cake & card as a surprise at dinner. Little gestures go along way; Thank You.
We will definately return for another visit.

This resort is definitely one of the best on my resort list around the world. My wife even describes it as the best ever she's stayed in her life.

It's a little oasis in the midst of a vast desert. All the photos that had fascinated us on internet prior to visit were all true. Rather, well beyond expectation.
Good foods. Fantastic snenery from dawn to dusk. Villa decor is very careful & sophisticated. Probably one of the most comfortable beds in my life. Pool is big enough, and with its view overlooking the endless desert, you have no point to complain. Just stepping out of the pool edge and you feel you are in the middle of the desert. I enjoyed a few minute walk in the desert myself in the mornings & evenings.

Above all, we were very impressed with quality of staff. Every one of them is very courteous, attentive & kind. Our activity guide was especially outstanding. We spent a very good time thanks to all of them.

By the end of our short stay this resort has become a very special place for us. It was unfortunate that all the other hotels we visited in Dubai & Abu Dhabi including the famous Burj Al Arab & Emirates Palace (that we were looking forward to visiting) seem to fade out of our memory because of the vivid impression of Al Maha. We would definitely want to come back, sooner rather then later.
