“Wedding Anniversary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

We recently stayed one night in this beautifully decorated boutique B & B and it was an absolute delight. The owners were most friendly and helpful and it was almost like staying over at a friends house and the homemade cake was soooo tasty that my husband and I were fighting over it!! The breakfast was my highlight as it was amazing and really wanted to be a piggy and ask for more. The location was perfect as set in the countryside and so peaceful. Will most definitely book again as soon as we are in the area. I will make use of the kitchenette next time to make more use of the room. We would highly recommend a stay, you won't be disappointed.

The best B and B we have ever stayed in. We were welcomed warmly by Dan and Katie with a beautiful room and home made cakes waiting for us! The breakfasts were delicious with locally sourced produce, Katie's home made blueberry pancakes were amazing. Superb accommodation, all perfectly spotless with lovely comfy bed. Nothing was too much trouble, we were given great recommendations for things to do during our stay and places to go to eat in the evenings.
All in all we had a lovely time and left feeling like we were going home after visiting family, we will definitely be back again soon! Thank you Dan and Katie.
Special mention to the lovely dogs Mimi and Moose. Xx

Room Tip: All rooms are equally lovely.

Booked this b&b very last minute before going to Derbyshire for the weekend. We had a nice warm welcome from Dan who showed us to our room. The room was spacious with some nice touches and one of the best beds we have slept in. If you want peace and quiet this place is just right. Breakfast was really excellent too with everything cooked to order. Would defiantly stay here again if we were in the area.

Much more than a Bed and Breakfast, inspiringly converted farm buildings make your unique 'bedroom' with equally fab en-suite and kitchenette. Kate and Dan are warm and welcoming hosts (as were their dogs!). The breakfast was made from quality local ingredients and we left wondering why we weren't staying longer but knowing that we had some great design steals for our own home! The deserve every success and we hope we can find an excuse to stay again sometime. Kath & Lisa.

This B&B is easily the best I have stayed at in. We (me, my husband, 23 year old son and cycling friend) arrived in the afternoon at this paradise and were greeted warmly by Dan. Afternoon tea was waiting in our rooms and when we asked where would be a good place to eat that night, Dan gave us several options, including eating there - we decided to stay there because we did not want to leave this gorgeous place. A lovely dinner was served in the cosy dining room! Now to the rooms - spacious, beautifully decorated, large extra comfy beds with plenty of good quality pillows, super soft sheets, a kitchenette with everything you might need if you want to prepare a meal in the room, gorgeous bathroom - felt like we were in a luxurious spa resort! After a great night sleep we were up early for a walk around the landscaped gardens, to the ducks ponds, and through the woods. The only sad bit was knowing we only had one night. It's private, quiet and peaceful, gorgeous accommodation, lovely hosts who have thought of everything. Would suit all - romantic hideaway, holiday with kids, weddings, girls weekend, singles, business. This is simply the best!

Room Tip: All rooms are stunning

My cousin and I stayed 5 nights here and loved everything about it. The owners Dan+Katy have put alot of work in creating this unique B+B. Each of the rooms are stylishly and individually decorated. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. It is located in a beautiful quiet setting but still close to major places of interest in Derbyshire. First class.
