Best place to be if you want to enjoy the stunning beauty of the desert combined with all the amenities of first class accommodation. Best thing: you are in the middle of nature, having some outdoor leisure, walking through sand but having luxurious, quiet little lodgings.
It's far away from the usual mainstream tourism tours. Not to be missed if you're in Abu Dhabi! We returned with all our visitors and stayed each time over night. But if you don't have the time, the day trips are worth it too - for sure!

we had friends coming for the first time to the Middle East and so we booked one night's stay at Arabian Nights in the desert. It was one of the rare times when it rains over there and the desert was amazing, the dunes still damp from the rain, puddles in the desert (!) and a perfect temperature. The property itself is a compound in the desert with sleeping quarters built to look like little local houses or tents or part of a fort. Inside it is snug and comfortable. Dates on a platter welcome you in and there's a nice little shower room. Outside, there is a pool and an entertainment area and then there are some tall dunes to climb up. The food is also marvellous with local mezes etc. and there's a sort of little shop which they call a "souk" which sells some original souvenirs. The night we went there, there was a private party going on and they had hired a belly dancer who gave a "son et lumiere" show with a dune as a backdrop. We were delighted to be invited to watch by the hosts in a very warm and hospitable way. After arriving there - the trip took about an hour from Abu Dhabi - we were able to take a ride on a camel and some of us also went dune bashing. The night in the desert was what you always hoped - with stars so clear and the quiet that you get miles away from anywhere. The only slight problem - more for the staff at the hotel than for us, though, was that the rain had soaked the cushions on the seats which they had set up to watch the belly dancer. We just stood and that was fine, in fact many people were dancing themselves by the end of the show. The following morning, we climbed a tall dune and then went back home through the desert in one of their transport cars, passing dark and light caravans of camels with that gentle curious expression. The photos I have are unique because the dunes were still not dry the next day, and they dried from the rim, which was therefore a much lighter colour than the rest of the wet dune and therefore beautifully outlined. It was a magical evening followed by a magical morning. Quite unforgettable. Many thanks to the whole team.

Perfect get away after long hours of work throughout the week. It was a good experience for me and my colleagues; to be out of the city and experience some Arabian culture. The place really looks good and it feels good to be there. They have a good package worth every penny. You get to enjoy the Safari ride, camel ride, food, the pool and the rooms are also great!
