Sporting scuba-diving Scarecrow along the driveway, metal moad shaped objects around the backyard patio and an indoor 3D mural of staligtites, my friend and I found our accomodation to be relaxing, clean and totally liveable. I nice breather away from the city, all you can hear at night is silence interspersed with the lull of Cicada song outside. I haven't slept so well in months! Make sure you take food though as there is no convinence store near by, but a couple of k's down the road is Huhu Cafe which does great food. If you don't bring a car, bring your walking boots. The tour to Waitomo itself was beautiful, well trained staff who are informative, have a great sense of humour and really know what they're doing - you're in safe hands. My favourite parts of the tour were when we got to lie down on the cave floor and turn off our headtorches, what we saw was a congested costellation of gloworms, a mirror for the night sky, I also loved the 24 metre rappel into the cave - on reflection I shouldn't have been such a show off and taken a longer time to look at things on my way down instead of being a speed demon.
Great value tour, comfortable lodging, if you want to visit Waitomo, these folks will take care of all the nuts and bolts for you and go the extra mile.
