Great service, nice clean and beautiful rooms. I stayed there for a whole week and the personnel were all very friendly and nice. Nice warm showers with strong pressure. Well located and excellent beach. I definitively recommend it!

I went to Holbox with my mom. It was a trip where we just wanted to relax but at the same time experience nature. We chose Amaite Hotel after a family friend recommended it to us. We enjoyed our stay very much. The service was great, and we particularly enjoyed the great service we got from Eduardo. He is a local of the island, so he was able to provide us with good ideas as to what to do, where to go and what companies to use for tour services. The location of the hotel was great and we really enjoyed being very close to the beach where we enjoyed beautiful sunsets. All in all, a great experience. We look forward to going back whenever we find ourselves near Holbox.

Located on a beautiful beach the Amaitè hotel is only few meter from the sea. The hotel is concealed by the palm trees on the beach. Our room was very pretty, with a detailed interior design. Provided of air conditioning and balcony with sea view (as all other rooms). Our stay was amazing, both relaxing and entertaining thanks to the multiple excursions. The staff at the hotel is great, friendly and very helpful. The restaurant is very good and located directly on the beach. The island itself is beautiful and unique, we could not have chosen a better place for our holiday.

We have been living in Cancun for 9 years and finally decided to give Holbox a try for a long weekend. The island was exactly what we were looking for; a quiet, laid back retreat so close yet so far away from the hustle and bustle of Cancun.
Friends had actually recommended another hotel which will remain nameless, but we stumbled upon Amaite, and we were so happy we did!

The location is ideal just a couple blocks walking to the quaint plaza of the town. Which of course had the most amazing "Lobster Pizza" we ever tried.

The room we rented was a 3 bedroom apartment which was much more than we expected. Our private garden was literally 20 steps to the most beautiful gradual sloping beach.

Our only speed bump was a minor issue with the travel agency that took us on a tour. When we returned we commented on our less than favorable experience to Eduardo. He said he would see what he could do and get back to us in the morning. In all actuality we were blown away with the follow up and end result that he managed!!! He resolved the situation in a manner much much better than our expectations!

I have worked in the hotel industry for nine years, and one thing is for sure SERVICE trumps all! When guests were treated as we were, not only will we be back to visit these fine people but we will make sure to bring as many friends and family as we can.

If you are going to Holbox don't even think twice, stay here! You will love it!

The hotel is perfect ))) Due to the smart, attentive, yet not intrusive, caring and warm - hearted people who work there. As a tour operating company having dozens of hotels to compare with and simply as travellers we were impressed with the attitude, location and thoughtfullness of this place. Everything is so close & convenient: 2 steps to the sea, 5 steps the Holbox centre, and 3 to the pier from where it's possible to catch a fine sea trout for the dinner)) Also its location on equal distances from Southern and Eastern capes of the island makes it fast to get there by the car for early fishing.
I liked the quality of the bed linen, each day new towel-creatures made by cleaning staff, the balcony sea-view, ethnic furniture, vivid hammocks, the way they treat each other and nature, guakamole and shrimps in pina-colada souce, warm bread, their fish and seviche, as well as the sophisticated purple lanterns on the wooden dock which made the night beach so cosy and authentic.
My numerous stranger questions were gladly answered, all current issues - settled, I really felt much taken care of)) Within a month only positive and interesting people were met, the laughing and good lounge music was heard, which made the atmosphere pleasant and escaping. All that makes a good memory was found and happened there, and we'll remember the best from Amaite Carribean vacation ))) thanks, guys..)) now welcome to Ukraine

Great location perfect service!
Food the best... Need a place to unwind with the family?! Breakfast on the playa. Afternoon siestas under the palapa... Walking the beach and riding golf carts were the best. Evenings were spent around the town square. Our boys played basketball with the local kids.
We'll be back...!

Ok, the long journey to a paradise Island was not all I hoped it would be. First off the taxi ( buggy) got confused where the hotel was as it's recently changed it's name, we hadn't had much sleep so I nearly lost hope and couldn't care where I slept - just find me a bed. The place is very understated ( reminded me of when I backpacked on a gap year ) simple white walls, and a welcoming bed. That was until we tried to sleep in it, it was off the scale for firm factor and I'm being nice. The view was beautiful and is the only bit of my trip I want to remember. We sat on the outside patio but next door came to sit out too and there is no privacy so I went in, they were a bit loud and excitable. The food was alright if you like fish and more fish. Not much to do here, got a bit boring to be honest. No one takes visa either, make sure you have hard cash, I know.... it is 2013 get with it people. Not one to note in my diary.

Hola.

Thanks for your comment.
It was a pleasure to received your opinión. It is important for us, because it help us to improve our service. but, I want to let you know, that on trip advisor. Is for making comments for the hotels and it service, in your opinión you don´t mentioned about the hotel or our service, you talk about the island which is diferent to talk about the island or the hotel.
We want to let you know that the whole island and the hotels have a rustic style, if you saw the other places we have all palapa´s buildings, holbox is a place to relax and enjoy the nature.
