I was traveling with my mom and Bill and Mary were nice enough to upgrade our room free of charge (it wasn't yet the high season.) The beds are truly fantastic--and it's so nice to wake up to one of their great homemade breakfasts! The location is a good base for exploring most of PEI. Bill and Mary know someone pretty much anywhere you go, so we were always given the inside word and treated like locals. PEI was one of the friendliest places I've ever been and I would definitely recommend the Briarcliffe to anyone looking to experience real island hospitality.
