“Excellent B&B!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2011

We stayed at Mt.Woodside whilst on a tour of BC hot springs. The house is incredibly cozy, the breakfast was homestyle and delicious, clean and very comfortable rooms, but best of all are the hosts - Ruth and Dave! It really felt like staying at home. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We were able to genuinely relax and enjoy our time there. Ruth and Dave are, without a doubt, knowledgable locals and their advice helped us plan the rest of our adventure. We recommend the stay to everyone.

Room Tip: Both rooms are equally great!

My significant other and I spent one night at the Mt. Woodside B&B and couldn't have had a better time. The room was comfortable, as was the bed. The furnishing and decor were elagent and the soaker bathtub was captious and comfortable.

The main area included comfortable chairs, a pool table and double sided fireplace that was maintained all evening.

The breakfast was plentiful, delicious and almost completely home made. It was nicely complimented by locally roasted coffee.

Ruth and Dave (along with their very sociable pets) were excellent hosts and made us feel comfortable from the minute we arrived.

I would recommend Mt. Woodside B&B unreservedly to anyone looking for a stress-free getaway.

We went for a weekend to Mt woodside B&B with my husband. We were really happy because the atmosphere of the place was charming and cozy. The bedrooms are clean, nice and everything is brand new. The bed is very confortable and the bathroom as well. The house is located in a quiet area surounded by trees. It is also very well located, near to agazzi and Harrison hot springs. there are many places you can visit from there.
Ruth and Dave were really great hosts! very welcoming and great cooks!. The breackfast with homemade muffins was a great treat! If you have the chance, go there!

My husband and I recently stayed overnight at the Mt. Woodside B&B. We had never stayed at a B&B before and were unsure of what to expect. We were relieved when we arrived at Ruth and Dave's beautiful home and felt very welcomed by them. We had our choice between two rooms, both of which had a private bathroom. The place was spotless and quite spacious. Everything was of high quality and Ruth and Dave went the extra step to make us feel comfortable by providing us with plenty of information on some of the local visitor sights and places to eat for dinner. When we came back from dinner, there was a chocolate rose in our room. Ruth had made a special trip into town that afternoon when she learned it was our anniversary to pick up the chocolate. This thoughtfulness and other efforts make this B&B stand out from the others. My husband and I are still talking about the breakfast, Ruth and Dave are fantastic cooks! There was plenty of food and variety, everything was delicious! The location is outside of town, but we preferred the location for its peacefulness and scenery. If you are looking for a clean and quiet stay with exceptional service near the Harrison Hot Springs area, this is definitely the place to stay!!

We spent the Thanksgiving weekend at the Mt. Woodside B&B. We had a beautiful room with access to a private bathroom and deck. We also could use the games room, the library or simply sit by the fire and look out at the surrounding forest. The home was gorgeous!

Dave and Ruth are amazing cooks. We had a 4 course breakfast which always started with fresh baked treats and coffee. Each day we were surprised by a delicious spread of food. We got to eat, read the paper and enjoy the view. It was a welcome change from our usual hectic morning routine!

We attended a wedding in Agassiz, just a short drive down the highway. It was a great location for us. We also made day trips to Sasquatch Provincial Park, Harrison Hot Springs and several local farms. Ruth and Dave gave us tips on the best places to visit. We had a great time in the area and were especially pleased with our accommodation. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

We stayed a week with our adult son (see his review below). The rooms were spotless spacious and private plus our own balcony meant we could relax outside. The breakfasts were fantastic. Tasty and substantial. We were on a fishing holiday and always received service with a smile, even at 4.30 a.m. Both Dave and Ruth were dedicated hosts, as a simple example, at least 20 variities of tea were available and jokingly we said that there was no strong English type tea. The next day both Tetleys and Yorkshire tea appeared! They were wonderful hosts, helpful in every way possible and genuinely cared for their guests.

So if you are fishing or looking for a base to explore the area or even just passing through you will have a fantastic stay at Mount Woodside. Thank you Ruth and Dave!

We stayed for a week at Mount Woodside B&B as part of a fishing holiday. It was quite simply the best B&B I have stayed in. It was everything one might hope for - comfortable, spacious, clean and generally high quality.

What really stood out though were our hosts Ruth and Dave. Quite simply they were fantastic. Incredibly accommodating, helpful, friendly and genuine people. On several occasions they got up at before 5am to cook us another lovely breakfast as our fishing days had some very early starts. The fact that they really cared about our stay elevated the whole visit from fantastic to exceptional. Thank you Ruth and Dave!
