Did an overnight stay in the Greenhead Motel while doing a survey in late January. The weather was cold (-20 C) but the second floor room was warm and cozy. The room appeared to have been recently refurbished, with new furniture and appliances. Located at the back of the hotel (I had to climb a set of stairs inside and cross an outside deck to get to get to my door), the room was quiet. The outside stairs leading down to the parking lot were showing their age, however, and although I’m sure they’re safe, the fact that the back of the hotel is not well lit makes them a bit challenging to navigate after dark. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant is included in the room price and the sausages and eggs were a good start to a cold day. Front desk and restaurant staff were friendly. Overall, nothing fancy, but a good stop for workers or hunters, and reasonably priced at around $90/night with tax.
