“Great setting and great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013 via mobile

Had lunch here today after a long drive from Grand Anse. Arrived without a reservation. DJ graciously put together a very tasty shrimp and garlic dish for us. However in all fairness to the hosts you should really phone beforehand so they can be prepared. As we were not aware of this, thought this tip was worthwhile sharing.

“An easy review to write!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

We were staying at Petite Anse where the food is simply wonderful so it was difficult to tear ourselves away for one night even if the reviews for The Heights were so good. However it was a good decision as we fond lovely people, amazing location, great food and excellent value, what else do you need?

“Completely private and scrumptious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

We went here two nights in a row when we were staying at the Petite Anse. The chef needs a reservation, but everything he cooks is heavenly. His use of spice and food combination is amazing. He's very friendly, has excellent red wine, and the view from the restaurant in the afternoon is stunning.

“Incredible View & Fresh Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

The Heights Cafe and Bar is a unique gem on the north side of Grenada. The view of the small islands north of Grenada is stunning and the breeze is wonderful for staying cool. The restaurant has very, very fresh food. The whole experience was great and the owners were warm and welcoming. Start your meal with a rum punch.

“Perfect Grenadian evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

Where to start! This was by far our favourite meal in Grenada and should be on your itinerary. We were warmly welcomed by owners DJ and Harriet, who made sure we were comfortable with cocktails (best rum punch on the island) in hand to watch the breathtaking sunset over the ocean. DJ then whipped up local specialities, including fresh seafood.

The Heights is located at the top of the mountain, so there is an amazing view. We were staying close by and did not find it difficult to walk, however it is a bit of a hike for those who are less mobile. If you are staying in the southern part of the island, why not check out the Heights after a day at Bathway Beach, Belmont plantation or hiking to the Seven Sisters?

After our meal, we ran into DJ and Harriet a few more times on the island. Their hospitality extends beyond the meal, as they offered to give us lifts to the beach.

The restaurant is intimate, with only 8 seats and is located in a small covered terrace, and booking ahead is essential so they can prepare.
