This was the best casa particular during our two weeks trip in Cuba.
Excellent service with the best meals for dinner and breakfast. Room at the first floor with a great view over the valley. Highly recommended.

In february of 2014 we stayed in Havanna for 3 nights and after this we took the Viazul bus to
Vinales where we had a booking with Midalys in her villa los Pandaderos to stay 4 nights
She rents 1 rooftop room with a nice small very private balcony and also a bigger terrace where she also has her kitchen to prepare meals for her guests
Her breakfast is a feast and her dinners are straight from heaven so do not hesitate to try.
On this upper level you look out over de rooftops around you and behind that over the fields and in the distance you see the mojotes.
From this area you can see the sun rise and also see the sun set over the mojotes while you can
have one of the very good mojitos prepared by Midalys and for a very decent price.
This was the second of our casas in cuba during our 3 week trip, but it is better to have this casa as your last stopping point, because after this 99% will be less in quality and hospitality.
All in all we are a middle aged couple from Holland who stayed a very nice 3 weeks in cuba
and the nicest of all our places that we stayed definitely was Villa los Pandaderos.
You should be aware that using the internet in Cuba is virtually impossible so it will be very
hard to try and make reservations in cuba itself as you are travelling around.
The best will be to try and make a selection of nice casas while you are at home and then if
possible make your bookings through mail or by phone or through a cuban booking site.
Vinales is a place where you can easily spend 3 days exploring the small town, the country side
with all the tabacco farms in a beautiful landscape, a town like pinar del rio for a day etc, etc.

We have just stayed for four days with Midlyas at the Villa Los Pandaderos and had a fantastic time - it completely made our time in Vinales and Cuba perfect. Midlyas treats you like royalty, as if you are friends and does absolutely everything to make you comfortable. She met us at the bus stop whe we first arrived and once we got tot he casa, just as we put our bags down and before we had even gone through the paperwork, she presented with two big glasses of fresh guava juice which is just what we needed after a long bus journey. The room was very airy with three windows (with shutters and no glass which is standard for Cuba) and a balcony door as well as the bedroom entrance so there was plenty of breeze coming through the room which was very well received by us in the humid heat! The room itself has a private entrance and is on the roof of her house and there is a balcony as well as roof terrace with tables and chairs so you can take in the scenery and watch what is going on. The view is excellent and you have a fantastic scene of the mountains although there are several electricity wires and water tanks in view as well - but this is normal for Cuba. What really made this place for us was the fact that we were surrounded by other houses (all one floor so we were higher up than everyone else) and you got to see how Cubans lived: watching the neighbours putting the washing out and standing on their roofs chatting to eachother whilst fixing their water tank - it really was a typical Cuban neighbourhood and we felt really lucky to be able to experience that as we really wanted to see the real Cuba. If you want an absolutely unbroken view then some of the electricity wires might get in your way but it is still breathtaking despite them. Midlyas presented us with wonderful dinners with epic proportions and absolutely amazing flavours - by far the best food we had in Cuba. We had chicken which was marinated beautifully and came with the usual rice and a tasty bean stew and salad and usually beans or plantain too. Every evening, about half an hour before dinner, she would bring us a plate of freshly fried plantain chips which were the perfect appetiser. We asked for the same meal each night but every time she would vary slightly: slightly different rice or different type of beans for the stew or different vegetables with the meat. Breakfast was also amazing with the usual Cuban fruit, rolls, and coffee but with tasty guava jam, cheese and ham as well plus a different fresh fruit juice each day: we had guava juice, papaya juice/milk, pineapple juice and banana milk. Midlyas also insisted on changing the bed linen and cleaning the room after two nights which we did not have in the other casas we stayed at which just shows how much effort she likes to make with her guests. She doesn't speak any English and my Spanish is extremely limited but we managed to chat and communicate and if there was difficulty, her friend with fluent English was always at the end of the phone to translate! Really can't recommend this casa enough: Midlyas did everything possible to make sure we had a good stay and treated us as if we were old friends - we have swapped email addresses and when we go back to Vinales, we will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: There is only one room which has an ensuite bathroom.

My boyfriend and I stayed in Casa Los Panaderos for 3 nights. We had a wonderful stay and Midalys is a perfect host. The casa has one room located on top of their home, with your own private access. The room was very comfortable, with air conditioning and fans and the bathroom was very clean. You also have your own little terrace area which was lovely to sit out on in late afternoon after a long cycle ride! Although the casa is slightly out of town, the short walk isn't a problem, and it is lovely and quiet. The food in the casa is brilliant, there is no point eating anywhere else in Vinales as it isn't a patch on what you get offered here - you also won't go hungry! Midalys will help you to organise any trip you want to go on, and we arranged bike hire with her as well. From the start with welcoming Pina Coladas, and continuous home made cooling lemonades throughout your stay, you will truly enjoy your time here.

There can not be a better place to stay in Vinales. Privacy, cleanliness, beautiful view of mogotes,
however the kindness, professionalism and attention to details by the owner Midalys goes beyond expectation. The food is superb and plentiful, the vegetables served are organically grown in a nearby small farm parcel owned by the family and the coffee beans are personally toasted for a great tasting cup of Cuban coffee. Midalys will arrange horseback riding, salsa
lessons, tours etc. This casa became "our" casa and our experience there has provided us with a treasured friend who will always be part of our new Cuban family.

We stayed 3 nights in this casa and regret that we didn't stay longer!
Midalys is great! Her hospitality is incredible: she is so nice and sweet. Midalys will help you arrange everything (guided tours, bicycles, your next casa, etc.). One day even, when we came back from our tour in the Parque Nacional Vinales, Midalys had made us a great lemony ice drink

Food:
The breakfasts and dinners are fantastic and plentiful (dinner includes soup, rice, beans, fruit, vegetables, fried potato-chips, fried banana chips, guava drink, coffee). During breakfast and dinner on your private terrace you can enjoy the great views on the mountains (mogotes).

Room:
The room is so nice and clean and the shower has lovely hot water. Thereby it has several private terraces which overlooks the mountains. It's the best room we had during our 2 weeks stay in different casa in Cuba.

Other:
Midalys made our stay to Vinales very special. The day we left, we wish we didn't, it even made us kind of homesick for Vinales en Midalys. When we go back to Cuba, we will definitely visit Vinales and stay with Midalys. Lot's of love from Erwin and Marjan from Holland!

This is a lovely room with two balconies, one fornt and one rear, overlooking the extraordinarily beautiful Viñales valley. The place is extremely clean, it includes bathroom with WC and hot shower, air conditioning, ventilator. Only a TV set is missing. The owner is a lovely lady who cooks extremely well and is really pleasant. Unfortunately, she doesn't speak any English. Price of the room is $ 20 per night, breakfast (abundant and excellent) included.

Room Tip: There's only one room available there.
