We booked for the bajan sunday lunch for a group of 5. We arrived just before 1 pm and had drinks on the lawn in the lovely gardens. We were seated promptly in part of the historic building - which is now partially open air. We started with split pea and pumpkin soup, followed by the buffet - all of the usual bajan delights were on offer from fried fish, pumpkin fitters, macaroni pie, chicken, sweet potatoe pie etc., Followed by self service deserts of apple pie, triffle, icecream, tropical fresh fruit and tea and coffee. The cost fo 5 people was just over $312.00 in total = £62.00 in total for 5 people. Fantastic value. Note you can revisit the buffet for second helpings - this is pretty unheard of now at many of the sunday buffet lunch offers in Barbados.
As part of the lunch you are also give access to the the Sunbury Plantation House - usual cost is $20.00 per head but free if you have dined.
For us it was a lovely sunday lunch event - food was super, service was professional and 100% courteous. I would definately recommend it. The usual tip applies for popular venues it is always wise to book in advance.
