“Quality”

What a find. Had a nice meal here with some friends in my welsh class. The decor is a bit sparse, the restaurant is a converted pub. But still has plenty of atmosphere. The owner is quite a character. And does a bit of everything really. Waiter, batman and host. The food was excellent. I had Pollo Fritto. A generous portion served with side dishes of vegetables and salad. I definitely plan to re-visit.

“A little piece of Italy in Newtown!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

I organise and teach Italian evening classes for adults at Northside, Newtown, and La Terrazza is the natural choice for students for our socials.

We go there least once a term, and individually on a regular basis.

The proprietor Gino and the chef Paolo are pleasant and helpful and the meals are as good as many as I've eaten in Italy.

Complimenti! Congratulations!

“A bit dirty”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013 via mobile

We had been twice for dinner and the only reason we went the second time is because we had forgotten how bad it actually was. The tablecloth had stains on it, the salad was mainly iceberg lettuce, the place is rundown and that particular evening it was raining and there was a leak on the roof right above us. It is sad because the owner is quite friendly. I think the worst is that we order a chianti but he didn't have any so he brought us the cheapest vinegar you can have pretending it was good. I agree chianti is from tuscany not venice but then why doesn't he stock any veneto then? I hope they get better though and wish them the best.
