“Absolutely Blissfull”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

I don’t use the word ‘perfect’ lightly, but staying at Llwydiarth Fawr really is perfect. It more than deserves its 5* status, and the numerous excellence awards. For the very reasonable cost, you get a little slice of luxurious comfort.

The house is set in peaceful, beautiful surroundings and farmland, with a terrace which is ideal for sitting on with morning tea or evening wine, to relax and absorb the countryside air.

The house itself is warm and elegant, and the rooms are comfortable and sumptuous. With finest, heavy bed linen, all in pretty pink, and beds that you sink down and snuggle into, and comfortable arm chairs and dark wood furniture. The sheets are crisp and clean, and the towels soft and fluffy. You wouldn’t know anybody had ever been in the room before you. The bathroom is modern, luxurious, and stocked with lovely toiletries, and the sunken bath is perfect for relaxing in.

The little touches like apples, chocolates, and biscuits in the room, along with a big selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, and the bottles of cold water on the landing, ensure that you’re every need is taken care of.

Margaret and her sons are warm and friendly from the moment they greet you in the driveway, and whisk you inside for tea and biscuits in the lounge. They are extremely helpful, and are actively looking for ways to help you, especially with directions and information, and maps. They attend to every little thing to make sure you are comfortable and looked after. Nothing is too much trouble, and they make you feel truly at home, and like you are their only guest.

I will be coming back to Llwydiarth Fawr as soon as I can, and will be bringing family, and recommending it to friends and anybody I know. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

If you stay here, you will feel so comfortable, and blissfully relaxed, that you’ll never want to leave. I know we didn’t!

We stayed at Llwydiarth Fawr again last weekend after visiting a number of times previously. Our comments echo those of other guests - Margaret and her family are fantastic hosts, extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms and the general environment are wonderful and the breakfast is an experience that will never be forgotten. You are made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive and the attention to detail is second to none. We love Anglesey and this is one of the many gems that exist on the island. This is the best B&B we have ever stayed at and it by far exceeds many 5 star hotels. The awards that Margaret has received are well deserved and we look forward to visiting again soon.

We were recommended this B&B by friends we were visiting on Anglesey after a trip up Snowdon. We only stayed the one night but found it a beautiful location and Margaret, the owner, went out of her way to make our brief stay comfortable, including immediately taking the flowers I'd bought and putting them in water, booking a restaurant for us (The Lobster Pot - very good food but make sure you book) and making us a cup of tea as soon as we arrived. Our "room" was a double room with a twin room next door, bathroom and use of a lounge area and kitchen downstairs. Breakfast is included and there was a huge choice of fresh fruit, cereals, cooked breakfast etc. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay with a warm welcome then Llwydiarth Fawr comes highly recommended.

We have just spent another holiday at Llwydiarth Fawr, and again it was just a perfect stay. Margaret and family are so warm and welcoming, and the house is just beautiful. It is by far our fave place to stay and we are now looking forward to another visit next year. Thank you so much for your kindness Margaret, Richard, David and Glyn. We are missing you! Claire & Andrew

Room Tip: All beautifully furnished. Rooms at the back of the house have views across open farmland.

My wife and I have just returned from llwydiarth-fawr where we were in the embrace of the warmest of welcomes from Mrs Margaret Hughes and her son David. Comfortable room, exceptionally clean and well stocked en suite. Guest lounge which you are actually encouraged to use, is so relaxing that you almost do not wish to leave it. Breakfast...WOW. I can say that in my experience could not be surpassed in any B&B. Wide choice of breakfast foods all of which is top quality and served with a smile. This 5 star Gold establishment is worth every star + 1. I do not have the words to fully do justice to this establishment. If you should go to Anglesey do not hesitate to book with Margaret Hughes - I never think of going to any other establishment when I go to Anglesey.

Room Tip: There is 1 downstairs room for people who have difficulty with stairs.

We stayed a this lovely guest house on Wednesday June 5th prior to travelling to Ireland on the ferry from Holyhead. What a lovely house and such welcoming people. Thank you Margaret and David for such warm hospitality. The breakfast was 5* and the room most comfortable. We will definitely choose to stay with you again if we travel once more to Ireland or indeed just visit the lovely Isle of Anglesey.

Maybe the biggest downside i can think of at Llwydiarth Fawr, Llanerchymedd is that as an Englishman its bloomin difficult to pronounce. So if you do stay here write it down before you try to get back by taxi. It is a lovely spacious house in a gorgeous setting run by the most welcoming, caring people. The double ensuite room we had was recently fitted out with good quality fittings and furniture and kept spotlessly clean. Off-road parking right in fromt of the door and even a garage to keep our bikes in. Breakfast was really good quality, plentiful and with lots of choice beyond the tranditional welsh fry up.
The only genuine critisism I could make is that the whole house could benefit from some de-cluttering. There is furniture everywhere and all of it in the communal rooms covered in china colletions and family photographs. Even our room had so much furniture it was hard to find anywhere to throw clothes on the floor! We had a large triple wardrobe and altogether in the room 23 drawers !! However, it does not detract from the enjoyment of staying at Llwydiarth Fawr. We would certainly return and strongly recommend it.
