“What a welcome to Scotland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2014

Where do we begin, from the moment we walked in the door we were made so welcome. What a lovely cosy room we had with crispy white sheets and towels. Tea and coffee and bickies. great breakfast to start the day. Only stayed a couple of nights but will definitely be back again soon. The owner is very hands on and if there is anything over and above you want he will happily try to oblige...just ask. If you are going to stay in this part of Scotland you will definitely not be disappointed.

I stayed 5 days at Bluebell Cottage, and it was absolutely excellent, nice, I enjoyed it so much. The room is very clean, with tea, milk, bed very comfortable, bathroom perfect. The breafast is large, with fresh juice and fruits, It's quiet, in the nature, and very very closed from the ferry, what is very important. I recommand this place to anybody !

Arrived on bikes soaked to the skin, but Graham made us welcome and able to dry off. Modern, well equipped and clean with home comforts like big fluffy towels, fresh milk with the tea tray and biscuits. Graham even kindly transported us to/from the nearest eating place (4 miles away) at the excellent West Loch Hotel, due to the inclement weather and our drenched state. Breakfast was continental only, as stated when advertised, which still provided nice touches like fresh fruits, quality yogurts and conserves. Quiet location only a few minutes down the road for the early morning ferry suited us well. Note - Calmac ferry to Islay does good full cooked breakfast, excellent meals and more if you need it. Only complaint was the fancy jet shower in our bathroom was out of operation, which looked like it could have been therapeutic...

FANTASTIC! Two Danish couple stayed one night on our way from Islay to Arran. We SHOULD have loved to have stayed some more days.
One of the best B&B we have stayed at in Scotland. The rooms were BIG, clean and with everything you need. The breakfast ... more than nice. The host were extreamly friendly. You should try it!

Very comfortable and clean. Good scottish breakfast. A good place to stay before catching the ferry to Arran. Ferry terminal only 5 minutes away.

We stayed here for one night whilst visiting Tarbert Seafood Festival and the Crinan Classic Boats Festival. The cottage is newly built, very clean and comfortable. The owners were welcoming and hospitable. Rooms, food, and amenities all first class and in a leafy rural setting. We will definitely return.

My wife and I stayed at Bluebell Cottage after returning from the 2010 Feis Ile on Islay. We arrived late in the day, and hungry but Graham made a suggestion for dinner that turned out very well. He even called ahead, to The West Loch Hotel, to make certain we would be able to have a meal. What made our stay doubly enjoyable is that despite having no room for us the night before we departed for Islay, they found accomodations for us. This was completely unexpected but very much appreciated. The room was bright, clean, comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious and filling. We highly recommend Bluebell Cottage.
