Had another meal at this restaurant, food excellent as always but service still quite slow.
We arrived earlier than booked, expecting to sit in the bar and browse the menu. We had a drink in the bar and were asked to go to our table a little after the booked time and only then given the menus. After just a few minutes we were asked for our order and, although they came back, as we were not ready, we felt very rushed and would have preferred to have had the menu whilst sitting in the bar. We decided against desert because it would have been very late and one of our party does not like eating late. The staff kept apologising for the delay but our experence is that the service is always slow.
The wine list has been improved and gives much better selection. This is in response to customers feedback.
The ambience is lovely. The music speaker was just above our table and when the music started, we commented to oursleves that it was a bit loud, when a member of staff came over they realised this and asked if we needed it turning down, without us asking.
The staff are all lovely and dressed nicely and act professionally.
It is great to have somewhere like this in the area.
