“Welcoming and competant classic Italian resteraunt”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

Traditional Italian resteraunt in wealthy Bucks village. Suitable for a special meal.
Pleasant oak panelled room, sensible length menu. Excellant wine list.
Very good service, and welcoming. Set menu was good quality and fair value given the resteraunt type
Can imagine this resteraunt would be very busy on some weekends.

“Classy for a special night out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

High end of the market for a special night, occasional older local celebs dining. Consistantly good in the 14 years I've been going. Good menu choices, cosy waiting area

“Good quality, good value Italian style dishes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

Da Remo is a traditional Italian restaurant in an attractive village location. The décor is restrained, some may say dated, but it is a very comfortable and pleasant dining area.

We visited Sunday lunchtime. The restaurant was very nearly fully booked which is a good sign. The staff were very welcoming.

We have visited Da Remo several times now and we have never been disappointed. It seems a popular location for a special occasion lunch for family groups, for birthdays and other celebrations. The staff seem to cope well with families including children.

Especially good value menu at £14.99, with good choice (not a set limited choice menu). Daily special (lemon sole on this occasion) was added to this menu as well. We had three different main courses (lamb shank, chicken with mushrooms, and sole) and each was considered to be excellent. Good quality, Italian style dishes. The Pinot Grigio was both good quality and good value compared to some restaurant prices. Unfortunately concern for the waistline meant we didn’t sample the dessert trolley but it looked splendid.

Even with “optional” 10% tip, the bill came to under £80 for 3 people, 2 courses with wine plus coffee which is very good value in my view.

“very traditional - Fawlty Towersesque without the chaos!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

as other reviewers say it is a lovely traditional village restaurant - has been there for years.
There is a beautiful little garden with a table and chairs for a romantic meal.
There is a great value set menu at £14.99 for 2 courses and the wine list is not too expensive. They are a bit irritating in that they keep on filling up your glass even when you keep saying no - that is a thing that really annoys me personally.
The decor is quite dated but it all seems to fit in, it is not a noisy bistro type place and there is a good lack of brass and glass and marble floors.
