“Time to Rest and Catch Your Breath”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

We came into the town of Arta and were very surprise with the slow pace of tourist attraction. During the evening we took a walk around the town center and discovered this place that has a rooftop restaurant. You could see for miles around the city - good food and drinks. Nice wait-staff and the place is nicely decorated.

This town is really made to avoid the hustle, bustle of the city. Sit back and rest with a good book and a coffee at any of the many restaurants in the town center.

We stayed here for one night. Arta is a great place for exploring the area which has great history and fantastic beaches.

The hotel is quite small and hard to find but you will find it very quiet and worthwhile. It's kind of a small boutique hotel. We stayed here in the high season and the hotel was not full so it was quite a nice stay. The rooms are excellent, spacious and with great air conditioning. Wifi was available throughout. This is a small hotel so there is no staff present at night. However, when we couldn't get the A/C on at around 11pm, there was no problem phoning the staff and getting real time assistance.

Shower etc. is great though the sink is a bit odd and tends to flood. Bring plenty of drinking water as you are not recommended to drink from the faucets (this is common throughout Mallorca).

Breakfast is great, not too much and not too little. It was served by a friendly staff member and on the rooftop terrace overlooking lovely Arta.

My wife and I enjoyed a superb lunch menu on the roof terrasse with the view of Arta, its two nice churches and mountains in the background. Despite windy atmosphere we had the best possible start for our mini vacation. Nice menu and gentle service - hotel seems charming and very relevant for couples

i wanted to stop in Arta so that I could stay at the Forn Nou during a cycle trip around the island and I am so glad we did. We ate twice at the restaurant and the food was excellent. Our room was also very nice - quiet and comfortable. In fact, of the many places we stayed throughout the island, the Forn Nou had by far the most comfortable bed and bedding!

If you enjoy good food and personal service, this family run hotel/restaurant is worth the stop.

Other reviewers have mentioned the view and unfortunately, it was too cold when we visited for dinner on the rooftop terrace, but I did take a peak and the views are spectacular!

Arta is a gorgeous little village, romantic and with a lot of charm therefore we wanted something more romantic. The hotel Forn Nou is newly renovated, the rooms are very simple but decorated with style. They still have very small issues related to to the renovation of the pipes but nothing which had a bad impact on our stay. Unfortunately we haven't eaten at our hotel but it was completly full in the evening and looked very tasty. Breakfast was as well ok. The terrace gives an amazing view.

Gorgeous hotel with stunning views from roof terrace. Modern and tastefully furnished to a very high standard. Some interesting and quirky features. Food was amazing and good value (21 euros for 4 course meal). Bit difficult to find. Best to park in municipal car park at top of hill and walk back. Can't wait to go back.

My husband and I had dinner here on the recommendation of a Mallorquin friend. Despite some confusion over our reservation, we were seated on the roof terrace (originally told it was fully booked) and what a view! The food was good, small menu, not pretentious. I had a delicious gazpacho and then very nice lamb, my husband had smoked salmon (not really a local delicacy!) and then the steak, delicious and reasonably priced. However, the 360 degree view was priceless. The pink sky, view of the bell towers, hills, hot air balloons, swallows and then an owl flew by as the sky darkened. I'd eat here again for the view alone.
