“good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013 via mobile

Apart hotel is better than the double room. Expensive hotel aprox 130 euro/room/night. Try to avoid 1st floor from apart hotel and remember that the reception is at the 7th floor. Small parking place.

I was there in a business trip. The hotel is very well located, at the entrance to Poiana Brasov. The room was quite large, but simple, with a comfortable double bed. The room has a large balcony where you can enjoy the mountain view. But the bathroom is small, with a small and old bathtube. The room and bathroom were clean.
The dinner was very good: fish, salate and paste, but breakfast is a standard swedish buffet.
The reception is to small for a hotel like that. When we did check in, I'm waited over 20 min. Generaly good, with little things can be improved, in particular in the service area. Certainly, I'll be back!

For a couple of days business trip to Brasov area, i think this hotel is an excellent choice. Fancy restaurants, conference room, high speed internet are great to have along with awesome views of Bucegi Mountains. Employees are always there to help, valet parking is a nice service and lot of other small things makes you forget you are away from home.
Regarding the food, the chef there was able to convince me to try some local dishes. Sarmale are definitely something you must try in Romania and also some local cheese and polenta with eggs called "bulz" - yummy!

After a busy day you can enjoy the Vitrarium Spa - those ppl really know how to get the peac e back to your body.

Will visit this place again maybe foe a private vacation with family.
Thanks

Room Tip: I recommend an apartment, there is so much space..

I just got back today from a 3 nights stay at this hotel - received as a birthday gift :)
The hotel is very well located, at the entrance in Poiana Brasov, with two parking places - there are several valets parking your car and bringing it back when you wish to leave by car; good quality service, considering that the larger parking place is a 5 min walk down the hill.

At arrival we had a fresh fruit plateau in the room - but is not renewed during our stay :)
The mini bar is well equiped, with a nice variety of beverages.

The room though, was quite small and simple, but with a very comfortable double bed and a nice balcony - you can sit and enjoy the nice mountain view.
What is not worthy for such a hotel is the bathroom - is tiny and cramped, with a small and old bathtube. Still, the towels and bathrobes are very clean, as well as the bathroom in itself.

What indeed makes it a very nice stay is the SPA ... lovely large pool, finish sauna and jacuzzi. And also the stuff is extremly professional, the messages being from another wold. i had 2 therapies per day, and each of them with another therapist ... all of them were unbeliveble!
I also enjoyed the view and the ambiance in the spa rooms - the relaxing area having also a great view and comfortable beds!

I did not enjoy two things at the spa:
1. a bunch of kids that were alowed to use/play in the jacuzzi and in the pool and making a lot of noise and disturbnace - this is afterall an area for relaxation!
2. the jumps in the pool from some people, even it was written that it is not allowed - only after 20-30 min someone came and told them that they are not allowed to.

The restaurants are fine from what we have experinced (only breakfast and some evening sweets), with very professional waiters! Breakfast has a large variety to choose from, but is a little bit low on sweets and cakes. Otherwise, is a standard swedish buffet :)

I would definetly recommend it for a relaxing spa weekend!

Room Tip: Choose a mountain view room!

We stayed there in Aparthotel rooms. The appartment are very good, five stars in my opinion. I'm taking in consideration arrangements, furniture, cleaning for the rooms and bathroom. We stayed in an apartment with two rooms (one with matrimonial bed and one room with two single bed), a living room, two bathrooms and a big balcony. In my opinion also a small child could take sleep on the sofa in living room. All rooms have TV (modern LCD one).
One of the bathroom is equipped with shower and the second with jacuzzi.
Restaurant very good also, we served there a launch, a dinner and the breakfast. Food was very good, the services also... on top we received a 25% discount for launch and dinner because of some special offer- nice surprise. We received very good services from our waiter.
We were to the swimming pool, very nice place, but to noisy for us: lots of noisy children there for a Spa place. Also the shower was broken. Overall a good cleaning in the pool and o the saunas, but to small number of chairs.
A plus for bell boy who parked our car, because small parking place there.
A minus for check out on Sunday when we wait more then 30 minutes because in our bill appeared some cocktail which we didn't served. Also I want to mention that the reception place is to small for a hotel like that. At the check in the waiting time and the service was good.
Overall good, but with things to improve, especially in area of services.

Alpin Hotel left me a very good impression. The apartments look great, well equipped, clean, spacious with a beautiful balcony where you can have breakfast, relax in the hot summer nights and admire the gorgeous view. The staff from the reception, restaurant, club, all the employees were friendly and willing to help us in need. I totally agree with #Mirrelle, everything is divine, the slopes are fantastic for snowboard and skiing, the shuttle bus is leaving from the hotel parking lot to the slopes every 15 minutes. I recommend the SPA also. To conclude this review all i can say is that you have to see it for your eyes because for me it was perfect.

I spent few days with my family at Alpin and let me say I was quite impressed by them. We stayed 3 days during the week (cause we don't like it when it's so crowded as the weekend).
Personally, I enjoyed the SPA. In one word....it's AMAZING! I wish all the women who gave birth recently to go there and spend a quality good time with themselves. It's so relaxing and they make u feel special. I didn't care so much about the food cause I'm trying to loose weight, but I enjoyed the cocktails at Vogue club. Nice atmosphere.

Room Tip: I booked the room through Facebook :) Easy and fast
