“Huge restaurant but food is good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2014

THis place is enormous and was seriously busy when we were there. The staff are professional and efficient thought and even though the sheer size of the place is off-putting, I had the best dish in Sicily - a past with ricotta and peas, mouth wateringly light and delicious.

“Nice atmosphere and good value food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2014

We ate here twice, an unavoidable mistake. The first night it was a novelty....fancy menu with extensive photographs...and the food was very good: hearty portions,- anti-pasta was extensive, I had a lovely rabbit stew, veal and roast dishes were also good. The wines were very reasonably priced and the service was good. Oh, and it was packed out,-always a good sign but you might need to book. On the second night, the unique approach to the menu was less fresh and the food was served in an awkward manner for us(strictly following and separating anti-pasta, primi, secundi etc) which meant that we two couples ate "separately". Nevertheless, both meals were good quality and good value.

“Good, local, and inexpensive meal....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2014

But get there a bit on the earlier side...it filled up quickly with a mix of both tourists and locals. My only negative is the menu is written and published by a "corporation" pushing its wines...so a bit gimicky and touristy...would have preferred to stay with the original menu they give you written in Sicilian...and just winging it...

“Beautiful menus, good eggplant dish”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2014

This osteria's menu is work of art with beautiful photography. I'd have visited it just to drool over the food's pictures. The interior is equally beautiful. The antipasto was good, the first course dishes with beans and chickpeas were not so impressive. If I remember correctly a baked eggplant dish was the only vegetarian option for a second course (the meat dishes didn't look so attractive anyway), but oh, it was so delicious.

“Busy restaurant with good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

Ate here twice recently, both time had excellent food, good service and lovely wine all at a very reasonable price. Filled with locals the owner and staff were warm and friendly. Definitely worth a trip
