“Good food in a busy restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012 via mobile

Came for an evening meal - was busy with local people which was a good sign. Really nice pasta and main dishes in a busy small local restaurant - it felt like eating in the living room of a local house and had a great atmosphere. Well worth a visit and good value

“SImple pleasures”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

Located on a side street, it is deceptively understated. All the locals chatting, eating and drinking outside gives the first clue. The wood fired pizza oven gives the game away. The patron (presumably Bruno) is master of the oven and all he surveys. He is as likely to be kneeding dough, dressing pizzas as he is to be outside chatting, laughing and entertaining customers.
The antipasto are definately home made and delicious. However, the pizzas are what this small, white-walled, family run pizzeria is all about. Fantastic and typically flat, Sicilian style. However, there is a north African influence to some.
The whole experience is only exceeded by what the comes at the end of the evening. The bill is incredibly reasonable.
We ate here twice during a short stay.

“What a find - best pizza of the trip and ridiculously cheap”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012

Incredible pizza restaurant - looks like nothing special but the popularity of it is the clue. It's packed, run by a typical Italian family (complete with grandma) and is such good value you feel like you should pay a bit more.

“What a pizza oven!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2011

This is a very basic Italian pizza restaurant. But it is amazing. You will soon discover after sitting down that this is where the locals go to eat. It's very cheap and has a great range of pizzas, pastas and fish. The pizza oven is wood fired and looks like it is 100 years old. We had a pizza, a pasta dish with some fries, bottle of water and wine all for €30. Can't wait to go back.
