“Reads a bit better than the reality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2014 via mobile

The roof top is an amazing view, but too far back with a lot of intervening electric features between the sea and the temples. A really good breakfast on the roof terrace. The rooms are comfy. Ask for a verandah.

The most remarkable b&b in Sicily. Selinunte is awesome, and the view from the terrace is breathtaking. Saying that the B&B is spotless, is a remarkable understatement. The richness of the furniture and the wealthy of the table at breakfast compensate for the disorder of some other parts of Sicily. Even the cat is an outstanding example of fairness and beauty. All rooms are very large.

A wonderful bed and breakfast. Quirky and unique design of each room, a friendly host, and a marvelous breakfast that's different every morning. A terrace that you can spend the whole day one, and even a beautiful cat.

This B&B was a real find, a gem of a place with an amazing view of the temples. We arrived a bit late but our host was still there to greet us. Giovanni is the perfect host very welcoming and friendly and full of great tips on where to eat and places to go. All the rooms are individually named and decorated and are really unique and different to anywhere else we had stayed. Next morning we had breakfast on the rooftop terrace which has a spectacular view of the temples. The breakfast was amazing, the choice of sweet and tempting cakes, biscuits and cold meats and cheeses were outstanding. Giovanni makes his own juices which were really excellent. This was the best breakfast we had during our holiday in Sicily. Overall this B&B is excellent value for money and the standard of accommodation was very high. Highly recommended.

The B&B has a wonderful atmosphere with nice rooms, a beautiful view from the terrace and a welcoming and helpful host. Giovanni is very helpful with tips for visiting the archeological park, the city and recommendations for restaurants. The breakfast on the terrace is good and differs every day. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

the house was wonderfully if quirkily designed but rooms very spacious and clean. The top floor was a delight with its beautiful roof-top terrace and spectacular view of the temples. Giovanni an excellent host who gave good recommendation for evening restaurant (Boomerang, lots and lots and lots of fish!) as well as kindly organising taxi ride for us to Castelvetrano (we hadn't realised no bus ran on Sundays). Breakfast was delicious - fresh-squeezed orange juice, lovely fruit and a range of bakery/home-made cakes and pastries. Definitely recommended.

Room Tip: ground floor rooms don't have a balcony but others do

We spent three nights at the Terrazzo di Venere and were completely satisfied with all aspects of our stay. It is a short walk from the bus-stop, so no problem with a heavy bag. Once inside, it is very comfortably decorated, and the rooms are large, quiet and with full facilities. The breakfast room and terrace overlook one of the temples. Breakfast was very satisfying with home made and local products. It is a short walk to the entrance to the temples, and also down to the centre of Selinunte and the beach where there are restaurants serving locally caught fish etc. Overall Giovanni made us very welcome and was an extremely attentive host.

Room Tip: All the rooms are quiet
