On arrival at the Villa Sibillini (after a few wrong turns) we were welcomed at our vehicles asked to leave the bags where they were and go into the garden where we were introduced to the family and given a nice cold beer. What better way can anyone start a holiday! There were 15 of us all together (not all of us knowing each other, so wondering how this was going to work for a week) and from the very instant on arrival at Villa Sibillini there was a definate bond made between group and the family running the villa. For one whole week, in which we all stayed under the same roof, Pam, Dave, George, Ian and Grandma (unofficially adopted) made our stay a very relaxing and fun time. The rooms were clean with great views overlooking the valleys, the food was fantastic, five course meals so we ate there most nights, it was varied and never repeated once, my compliments to the Chef, Dave (although I do blame him for my 5lb increase on weigh in when I got back). We played silly games and the whole family joined in (including Grandma). We wined, dinned, rested, watched t.v., videos, used the computer, the only thing we didn't do was cook, wash up or clean, which to me is what a holiday is about.
Whilst others went to seek adventure out and about, Pam went out of her way to take us out in her car to the local villages, on the way showing us a neighbours farm where some wild boar are kept. She tried relentlessly to arrange quad biking, boar hunting, truffle hunting and horse riding but unfortunately this was out of season.
Pam, Dave, George and Ian not forgetting Grandma were the best of hosts, we kept them up every most nights fairly late and still every morning were smiling and friendly helping us to arrange the days adventures.
I would certainly recommend the Hotel Sibillini to all my friends and colleagues or to anyone who asks for my opinion on where to go. And definately 'Yes' we will return.
