My fiancée and I, plus both sets of our parents and my aunt visited La Mucca Golosa in April 2012. We are getting married at Borgo di Tragliata in September 2012 and happened to be staying at Borgo di Tragliata to meet with our wedding organiser and make arrangements for the wedding. Our wedding organiser Stephen Gerard recommended the restaurant to us and recommended that we take our 60-70 wedding guest to visit Lake Bracciano and have dinner at the restaurant the day after our wedding. So we decided to try it out before our wedding.
The restaurant setting is beautiful with a wonderful view of the lake. The restaurant itself is lovely, clean and well decorated. Parts of the kitchen are on show to the diners and you are able to watch the chefs cook on a large open wood burning stove. The serving staff were very friendly and attentive and the owner was very pleasant and spoke near perfect English (our Italian is basic, so this was very much of use).
The Owner Max suggested we have a sample menu to sample different dishes we may choose to serve our wedding guests. We were brought as a starter 2 full pizzas, several types of beautiful bread, italian rustic bites, baked cheese and aubergine and about another 3-4 other small starter style dishes which were all beautiful. We were then served two different pasta course which were also fantastic and cooked perfectly. Then the meat course which was lovely sliced fillet steak, with salad and vegetables. Then a selection of 5 desserts which were all fantastic. The house wines were also excellent. The food and drink was fantastic,
The service was excellent, the atmosphere in the restaurant was great. The view was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area, or if you are considering taking wedding guests to a location out with Borgo di Tragliata
