“Warm Irish charm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

I've eaten here three times on my visits to Ireland and found the food to very good (home made they assure us), the welcome to be warm and the staff charming and efficient. Happy to return and hopefully sample the apple pie.

“Dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2014

Tried Dooley's for the first time last weekend, myself and my boyfriend really enjoyed it. It has a lovely decor, we both enjoyed a nice pint, bar staff pleasant. Brilliant menu to choose from. I just opted for a main - oriential chicken stir fry with a side of chips, really nice, enough to feed two!! my boyfriend went for the €25 menu - carrot soup, steak (€5 sup) and apple tart, cleaned his plate every time. Good service and nice atmosphere with candles on tables, would def recommend!

“Date Night!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2014

Booked a table two days in advance, and it was probably just as well as the restaurant seemed to be completely booked up and the lounge area was also full of people dining, which is a great sign on entering a place. Staff were very friendly, but under a lot of pressure to complete their job, though maybe we were unlucky to book on such a busy nite, as one table had over 20 people at it, so a lot of the staffs time was taken up with them and we think we were forgotten about accidently. We didn have a starter but went straight for the main course 10oz fillets which were Perfect freshly cooked food, in a good atmosphere. Value for money, will definately be back again.

“Great road house”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

Very decent food and a v decent pint. Love to see some change here as its the very same since day one in terms of staff quite stand-off-ish. What a great location for a farmers market on a Sunday morning and this would bring some nice trade. This place has the perfect location for a niche business like top of the range steaks (like the Monasterboice Inn of years ago) or concentrate on local craft produce but no they have stuck to BLTs and coffee and unfortunately it will be forever the same. Great potential but poor vision even after the massive investment.

“Warm Welcome, Excellent Carvery Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

Stopped off here yesterday and had the best carvery lunch I've had in a long time. Food was fresh, hot and delicious, with an excellent choice of dishes. We ordered half portions, and they were very generous and excellent value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. A clean, warm, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere - would recommend to anyone, and will definitely visit again.
