“Here at the moment.Just as nice as previous reports.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013 via mobile

Nice hotel, but after other nice hotels the food is lacking variety.always enough to make a decent buffet but not as much choice, especially at breakfast but we have to remember we are in Crete and they may have introduced some cutbacks.
All the staff are great. We would return if we got the same good deal from Thomsons. However be aware the bungalows are two story blocks.

Stayed here 1st week of oct ,12 . and i can confirm that all the praise on this hotel is absolutely true.
We were all-inclusive with thomson, and we had upgraded to a bungalow room, everything was fine we were in 327 and was a great position,as we were close to restaurant and evening entertainment which was usually finished by 10-30 pm, and it was not as bad as made out,the animation team certainly give there all,and we had two great greek nights.
the hotel is right on the beach and has a beach bar,and the farthest room away was mins .
there were not many english guests ,mainly german ,and were very friendly.no problem wiith sun beds, restaurants or seats in evening.
This probably ranks as one of the best we have stayed in,its seems to have got the blend right in every way and our fellow guest to boot!
the only real gripe we had was the distance from hotel to get a local bus ,which is a stiff 20 min walk up

Stayed last two weeks of September 2012, Room 603 on an all inclusive holiday organised by Thompson Holidays (TUI).

This hotel is about a twenty minute walk from Malia, so it is far enough away so you don’t get any noise from Crete’s young person’s party capital. There are at least 3 supermarkets and a car / bike hire company within easy walking distance.

Checking in was easy and we were shown to our room which was at the far side of the main pools and pool bar.

The ground floor room was a good size with two twin beds a settee wardrobe with free safe and tea and coffee storage area and more than enough hangers (for once) and a dressing table with 3 small draws. The bathroom was small but big enough for the two of us.

We were very presently surprised when we opened the rear door to find our room backed onto another pool and the Pagoda restaurant. We had a patio with 2 chairs and a round table and two sun beds directly in front.

The room was kept spotless every day with clean sheets on several occasions throughout our stay, clean towels every day and our pool towels replaced on request.

The main buffet style restaurant served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Included in your AI package you could book a meal at the two a-la-cart restaurants (Italian or Greek) once per week without extra charge and you could order lunch at the Pagoda restaurant if you wanted at extra cost which was discounted for AI guests.

Overall the food was of a high standard but a bit repetitive especially at lunch but there was always plenty of food available with trays replenished regularly.

There are 3 bars all of which have a menu which shows which drinks are included in the AI package and which drinks attract a surcharge. During the day there are two bars one by the pool and one on the beach both are easily accessible and open from around 10am to 17:45. You can also get snacks (if you have room) etc from the pool and beach bars.

Once these shut the waiter service lobby bar opens which is then open to about 1am. We found the evening bar service excellent and very well staffed not waiting more than a couple of minutes to be served while watching the evening entertainment.

The evening entertainment was mainly provided by the animation team with a live duo on two nights and a Greek dance group on two nights. The animation team tries so hard to keep people entertained. They may not be the best but they put their heart and soul into what they do.
.
The one thing that sets this hotel above a lot of others we have stayed at is the staff. They can not do enough for you. I was thinking of putting a few names in of people who were really good but we would have to name everyone. We would like to thank all the staff for making our holiday so special.

Normally by the end of a two week holiday we are ready to come home but not from here for the first time ever we both said we would liked to have stayed longer.

Room Tip: We had room 603 which was perfect for us.

Ok I was a bit wary of going to my first ever all-inclusive. I usually like to eat/drink out and have heard horror stories of reheated food etc and wearing ugly wristbands.......
However this place blew me away, the standards were fantastic, you just need to give your room number as the guests are a mixture of b&b, half board etc, and to be honest you do not get treated any different.
We arrived around midnight and to our delight were given a plate of food along with wine. Also in the room was wine, water & fruit a good touch.
During the day the pool bars are busy but George gets to know your face and usually what you want to order! I really think the hotel should hire more bar staff for evenings too.
The quality of the drinks was great with Grants Vodka & Teachers whisky. The bottles of wine were lovely and bottled water. There are cocktails, soft drinks, toasties, milkshakes & coffee's too.
The quality of the food was amazing with show cooking and fresh salads the choices to be had.
The grounds are stunning and well maintained, there is a private beach as well as pool areas and we never once had trouble obtaining a sunlounger.
The location is quiet, peaceful and well spread out, however you are only a 10 minute taxi ride to the strip and the old town.
We went the end of May and the weather was stunning, ok the entertainment is shady but the staff are so lovely, you feel they are doing their best and a limited budget. There is a greek night and if you are all-in, you are entitled to 1 sit down meal at the a la carte. Would really consider coming back although it took me a month in the gym to shed the pounds!

Room Tip: there are rooms which face onto a kids playpark, dont worry it hardly ever gets used. The rooms wit...

After reading some reviews for this hotel we arrived with high expectations,we were not to be disappointed. The hotel may be the best we have stayed at,the gardens are exceptional as are theif you pools. Everything is spotlessly clean, the rooms are excellent as is the dining area. The food is really nice and the staff are great. The evening bar service could be better but it is not a geat problem. The entertainment with the the exception of the local dance troupe was terrible but that is not why you go on holiday, i suppose it was the best they could do. We never had a problem finding a sun lounger at anytime around any of the pools, service at the pool bar was good as it was at the bar on the beach. This really is an fabulous place for a relaxing holiday. If you feel the need to visit Malia it is a seven euro taxi ride,we went once and that was enough.

Room Tip: Choose a pool view or a sea view room, its worth paying a little extra.

Having followed other reviews before we arrived have to agree with most of them. Yes the evening bar service was inadequate, despite the hard working staff. They would definitely benefit from additional staff for all concerned!

The surroundings are beautiful and it was a welcome change not to worry about finding a sun bed.

Beach bar staff were lovely and made the holiday experience a memorable one.

Please don't worry abou the lack of evening entertainment as having had a wonderful day with wonderful food you tend to feel the animation team are trying their best.

Will definitely consider returning.
