A group of 4 of us visited this one of several restaurants on the Main Street in Cotignac. We went on an evening when it was a little cool and windy and were impressed by the provision of blankets if we wanted them. From the outset the staff were very friendly and hard working! Starters were varied and three of us enjoyed the prawn ravioli with one of us choosing the pate, which was excellent. Our main course was duck with figs. This was well cooked, really tasty and we all loved it. Finally we finished with either a chocolate fondant or creme brûlée. The fondant was well presented and delicious but we were a little disappointed that the top of the creme brûlée was not hot but prepared some time earlier - a trend seemingly common now in many restaurants but perhaps surprising for a good restaurant in zfrance! However, it was altogether an excellent meal with a very pleasant atmosphere. With a delightful bottle of local Rosé the bill came to about 40 euros per head, not cheap but well worth it. We will certainly return to this lovely restaurant
