We just spent 9 perfect days in Le Couvent in June and I can't recommend it enough.
Our room was bright and airy and the bed was huge and really comfortable. The en suite bathroom was spotless with gorgeous soaps and great water pressure in the shower.
Breakfast is a feast and a special mention must go to the delicious fresh eggs from their own hens.
The house itself a treasure trove of art and books with lots of spaces inside and outside to relax and read and the pool area is surrounded by plants and hedging so it's really private.
We got a lovely welcome from our hosts and were made feel at home straight away, if we get the chance we will definitely go back.

Le Couvent is a real find! A great place to slow down, read in the shade under the mulberry tree, sunbath and swim in the chlorine free pool, sip wine in the evenings and explore the region.
The house is spacious, full of wonderful art and an eclectic library. Breakfast is a feast! Our bedroom was just perfect and the bed was unbelievably comfortable.
Ali & Lizzie are just wonderful - they made our trip to France unforgettable. Can't wait to go back.

Lizzie and Ali were great hosts--they welcomed us with such graciousness and warmth that we felt like family coming to visit. Le Couvent itself is lovely and charming, from the french country garden to the faded green shutters and original worn stone stairs, you immediately feel like exhaling. Our room was a contemporary provencal decor with village view. The beds were comfortable, cozy comforters, large fluffy towels and artisan soaps, everything immaculate, and given a special touch with fresh flowers and a bottle of regional rose wine. Delicious hearty breakfasts with freshly baked bread, croissants and pastries, fresh fruit, meats and cheeses, homemade jams, juice, tea and coffee, and even eggs direct from the hens, affectionately called "the girls" out back! Roujan is a bit off the beaten path, a situation we typically seek out, yet just a stone's throw to all the restaurants and shops in Pezenas, and we took an easy drive to the coastal villages during our short stay. Lizzie and Ali treated us as they would good friends, allowing us to linger and enjoy ourselves at breakfast before heading out for the day, never hovering but just the right measure of availability--and genuinely seemed to enjoy their guests. A wonderful experience, and we hope to return again!

Cool, calm, collected the convent with it all. Ali and Lizzie are tremendous hosts and made us feel so very welcome in their home. Honey and Geranium a lasting memory.

There are many very good B&B’s but there is only one L&A (Lizzie and Ali) and it’s great. Le Couvent is a beautiful, old convent lovingly brought back to life by the efforts of Lizzie and Ali. Their two dogs, Kit (tail-wagging “Be my friend”) and Flynn (“Come pet me”) greet you in the gravel forecourt beyond which there’s a lovely garden and beautiful, quietly gurgling, swimming pool. There’s interesting art inside and out. The guest rooms are well designed, attractive and comfortable. But it is Lizzie and Ali themselves that set Le Couvent apart. They are warm, charming, energetic, intelligent and hard working. You feel so very well taken care of. They share their knowledge of interesting places to see in this most beautiful part of France, restaurants to enjoy (which they will reserve for you). We had read all the glowing reviews on Tripadvisor but it’s hard to capture how wonderful our time there truly was. We can’t wait for our next visit.
