“Wonderful Property, wonderful stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Tiny things could be improved, but overall, I could spend a long time here, very happily. Would like a few more pillows, for example, and the breakfast is nothing special, but overall, wonderful and relaxing. Town was wonderful on the weekend, and easy walk to explore everything. GM was just so friendly and helpful on our late arrival. Nice sized rooms and bed, rare in France.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

My wife, son and myself shared a deluxe suite overlooking the hotel pool on the first floor with the benefit of a large terrace that included sun beds, chairs and table. The hotel is located a 5 minute walk from the town centre. Everything about our 4 night stay was outstanding from the moment we arrived. The accommodation was of an excellent size, the public rooms were beautifully furnished in a contemporary style. The breakfast was wonderful with a selection of cold meats, cheeses, cereals, boiled eggs, croissants, fresh fruits and other fresh breads and you can squeeze your own fresh orange juice. Breakfast can be taken either indoors or outside on the covered terrace. Although the swimming pool is small it is perfectly adequate, clean and well maintained and, rather surprisingly, was not used to its capacity with their being enough sun beds and parasols. We did not eat in the Bistro but the food that I saw being served looked delightful. The staff were very helpful with nothing being too much trouble. In fact, when we returned to the hotel either late at night or on one occasion at about 1am the car park was full but there was Alexandre Agop , the manager, to greet us, help us park in the car park and take our car keys from us until the following morning.

We cannot wait to return.

Room Tip: We had room 106 which overlooks the pool and has a larger terrace than some others

This superbly equipped and located hotel provides a perfect base from which to explore Pezenas, an old town with several first rate restaurants. The hotel itself has friendly and unobtrusive staff, a small but well-located pool, and a nice bistro on premises. It is a short walk to the town centre, but pleasantly isolated from it.

On our way to Spain, we spent two nights overthere. It was a nice week end in Pezenas.
Nice room. The breakfast is good. The main thing to highlight is the friendly and helpful staff.
The restaurant they recommended was perfect.
The swimming pool was a bit small.

This was a delightful hotel. We were greeted by the staff who rushed to help with bags and were very welcoming. Escorted to our room and made to feel valued. The room was excellent, very good and spacious, neatly laid out and with a small kitchenette which meant that it was great of you wanted a night in to eat your own snacks. The bathroom was good.

The hotel is very close to the centre of the town and so its easy to wander around and then come back to the hotel. The swimming pool was fine - small and perfectly formed

Only a small grouse was the absence of free bottled water

A good place, well presented and welcoming.

Room Tip: a room at the front of the hotel is much better

5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

We liked this stylish newish hotel in an old distillery building, stayed 2 nights in early July, just before Tour de France was due to pass through Pezenas. Some of the materials had been reused in the decor, which made it it a bit different, although the overall design effect was rather mixed.
The first best thing as far as we were concerned, as we had no car, was that the hotel is extremely (almost absurdly) easy both to see and get to from the bus station. The staff were very helpful, our room was large & well-equipped, with some food preparation facilities, big TV (never used it), wifi, a/c etc etc. Huge and very comfortable bed. Very good breakfast in the 'library' but we did not use the Brasserie, we arrived on a Monday when it was closed, and it was fully booked on the Tuesday night. Found an excellent restaurant from the receptionist's list though, not far away. There are spa facilities, at extra cost, which we did not use, but there is a nice little outside pool, which we did.
Highly recommended.

We stayed at La Distillerie in June 2013.

it was a brilliant find. The hotel is gorgeous, with incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. The rooms are excellent - the mini kitchen a really good touch - and the pool/exterior areas are really lovely.

The restaurant is great - a tad challenging if you don't speak French though! Worth persevering as the tomatoes in thyme were fantastic!

Only little issue was the entrance - the road to the hotel was being dug up and the deviation was extremely challenging! However the manager was incredibly nice to drive our car out!

I will mention your pleasant remarks about the bistrot to the Chef and the restaurant staff.
