Thanks goodness we didn't stay there! But we had the misfortune of eating in the Restaurant!
I can only say, if you want to be ripped off, served by a "chewing gum" chewing waitress and waiting hours to be served even a drink!, as there is only one waitress serving the whole restaurant, then to be served very very basic over priced food, in a 70's style room with a thick air of disappointment emanating from all other guesses. Then this is the place for you. The only light relief came as other dinners started to make snoring noises, the relief was knowing they were staying there, so we had got off lightly!
So may be you are asking yourself why we did't get up and leave, This is a very sleepy village, with only 2/3 Restaurants, it was getting late on a Tuesday night, after a very long drive, a lot of the restaurants were closed Tuesday and we didn't know the area.
Our advice, check when the local restaurants close as some close Sunday/Monday or Tuesday. I also think it would be a good idea for tripadvisor to have the option to enter in opening days & times.
I hope this prevents someone from making the same mistake.
