This is the restaurant of the Hostellerie Saint Vincent, only a few minutes' walk from the centre of Nuits-Saint-Georges. it is in the vaulted cellars of the hotel, which give the place strangely quirky acoustics: the table next to you can be talking animatedly yet seem quiet as church mice, while you can hear with crystal clarity a murmurred conversatoin from a table on the far side of the room.
We had an excellent meal, with excellent service, washed down with a very nice wine from the domaine next door.
Evening menus range from 25Euros up to 58Euro. We opted for the 4-course 28Euro 'Menu Bourguignon', which was delicious. The cheeseboard was wonderful (and introduced me to Regal de Bourgogne), and the poached pear and sorbet cassis dessert was a delight!
