“Ideal for a chilled out break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here as a late deal with olympic holidays and had Chilled out relaxing time . Found the staff to be helpfull and pleasant at all times food was good upgraded to all inclusive and could choose from al a carte menu so no complaints from us .
The only thing that put me off staying here again was I saw a few rats running around the gardens which I think was because of the location hillside and fields around .
Overall an enjoyable break

This is a superb, nice sized hotel with very clean, well presented rooms. The maid service is excellent and operates 6 times a week.
The restaurant provides well prepared and cooked food at very reasonable prices. The pool is cleaned daily so that it is always in tip top condition.
All the staff are very friendly and they ensure that your comfort and enjoyment is paramount.
I can honestly say that I am really looking forward to returning next year.

Room Tip: All the rooms are well positioned and convenient to the whole village

This is a good resort. if you want to get away from it all for a lovely, relaxing, quiet stay, this is the place to be. It has a lovely beach only about five minutes away from this complex. we stayed self catering so I cant comment about the food. The only draw-back is, you need a car to be staying here if your wanting to go into to paphos because there are no buses. But other than that me and my husband had a lovely 3 week holiday at Hylatio tourist village.

Room Tip: all rooms had a lovely view.

Booked this as a late deal offer with Olympic Holidays....... as a female solo traveller I had read the reviews first as my first priority is to feel safe.I had a relaxing week holiday and was very lucky with the weather ......my stay was 1st to the 8th May.
The flights were with Jet2 who I had not flown with before and was pleasantly surprised with the legroom ....food and drink were the usual but most passengers bought drinks and had their own food .....flight out was on time and slight delay on return .
On arrival at Paphos airport we were directed to the transfer coach which was a mini-bus as there were only 19 people ......there was no rep on the coach and the journey took roughly 15 mins.
On arrival we were taken to the reception area by the driver where we were welcomed by the owner Vlad and the Florin who I think was assistant manager .They offer upgrades on your stay ranging from breakfast for the week at 29euros per week to AI for 150 euros for 6 days although we were told that we would get 7 as it would include the evening meal and all drinks that evening and would finish at lunch on the day of departure .....I took this offer and it was good value for money.
I was in block 8 in a ground floor studio which was very spacious.... spotlessly clean but typical basic .....it could have held 3 as there was 2 single beds and a bed settee .....there was also a table and 4 chairs in the kitchen area which had a kettle and a toaster a two ring stovetop and an oven but if you enjoy your drink of tea/coffee take your own mug as the cups are a bit small!! There was a coffee table by the bed settee. There was a shortage of drawers but plenty of room in the built in wardrobe and plenty of hangers. There is a safebox in the wardrobe which was 2.50 euros a day and Air -Con was 6 euros per studio and 12 for an apartment.
As it was early season the AI was from the a la carte menu so there was plenty to choose from the main courses although there were only 4 starters ...... lunch had a good choice of snacks .....burgers pastas salads sandwiches.....breakfast was full english or continental or any combination ...they were very amenable ...and the restaurant staff were excellent.... but again must stress this was because it was early season so cannot comment once the season starts proper and service resorts to buffet style ....Drinks in the AI offer were all local beers spirits and wines but not Rose.
Pool area was spotless ...plenty of sunbeds (but then it is early season) gardens were exceptional but so were the mosquitoes!!!Take plenty of bug sprays.
The AI offer is for food and drink only it does not include entertainment which some of the other guests had expected although I believe that there is some in season.
The Hylatio is about a 5min walk down a gentle incline to Pissouri Bay where there are few restaurants and tavernas maybe 3 supermarkets/tourist shops a jewellery store which made handmade jewellery and the usual estate agents,IN season there is a local bus to Pissouri village which is 3 kms uphill ......not for the faint-hearted but can be done!Taxi was 10 euro each way and if I am honest was a waste as really apart from 1 supermarket and loads of places to eat and drink nothing else up there.
The beach was sandy/pebbly with the blue flag award there were about 3 tavernas and there was also a 4*hotel ...The Colymbia .....which did have a public area.
I would recommend the Hylatio to anyone who wants a peaceful relaxing holiday with a family atmosphere but is also a good base for anyone wanting to hire a car and use it as a base.
Would I return .....yes.

Room Tip: Rooms in Block 8 are in the sun till about 3.30pm and far enough from the pool not to be noisy

Stayed here first week of May 2013. Was open minded following mixed reviews, but very pleasently surprised. Very clean rooms and cleaning staff very nice and helpful. The small cooker was not brilliant, but we did not complain as it was not a big enough problem. Our toaster did not work so swapped it with our neighbours who were all inclusive so were not using theirs. Excellent layout of hotel. No expense spared with the landscaping of the gardens and most rooms overlooking the pool. The layout makes it good for most people to mix together and all in a good place to make friends. The bus was not running during this time which made it a bit isolating. A walk down to the shops and restaurants was only 10 minutes and very safe to walk at night. The entertainment was non existant, but due to the quietness of the area it did make everyoine staying there mix well together. The pool area was very clean and a good size pool. We were very lucky with the weather so did not feel the need to go anywhere else. However if the weather had not been good, would really have needed to hire a car. The all inclusive package on offer was very good value for money if with children or if you like a drink and it was available for 3 days - up to your full stay. Mossies were a problem so dont forget your repellent. Overall an excellent place for a chilled out and relaxing holiday.

Had a brilliant fortnight at The Hylatio. Stayed AI.
Due to it being out of season the main meal was from the a La carte menu, the food was delicious! The English breakfast was enormous you can choose what you want or you can opt for the continental. At lunchtime there was a selection of snacks, I opted for the pastas and salads, hubby liked the spag bol, pizzas and cheeseburgers washed down with a pint, or a couple of glasses of red wine, lovely!

The rooms were spacious and cleaned 6/7 days, the cleaners were fantastic. A big thank you to Ramona and Paula for looking after our maisonette. The beds are so comfy! All the cleaners were happy and gave a cheery hello each day. Hi to Rodik and Rodica.
The bar/restaurant staff were also fantastic. A big thank you to Andrei, Florin, Eiza and Elina Andrei, you had us in stitches with your translation of 'Romanian sayings' You looked after everyone so efficiently and welcomed us with a cheery smile every day
Thank you to the kitchen staff who can be forgotten by the guests as they work behind the scenes. Ililiana, Silvia, Paula Ovidiu keep up the good work. Hi to Ionlit you keep the grounds looking beautiful.
Any problems (which I'm sure you won't have) see beautiful Flory, the Assistant Manager. She takes time out to speak to all the guests ensuring that they are enjoying their stay. Lovely young lady.
Finally Vlad, you have a brilliant establishment and the best staff I have encountered in a long time, they are a credit to you. The food you prepared was out of this world, I will be on a diet for the next year!! Thank you also, for letting my other half think that he had beaten you at pool on a couple of occasions
Hope to return.

Rooms are large and clean and staff are good. The food is poor though. Despite being all inclusive, we ate at the restaurants in the bay for dinner. The management seem happy for the sun loungers to be covered with to towels the night before and an air of the" all inc."Brit abroad is spoiling the resort. This was a gem until this year but maybe we were unlucky. Won't be going back as it is Olympic only booking and they are scum. I cannot get them to stop spam emailing me.
