We had a great two nights at Eeshani homestay. If not for a need to move on would have liked to stay here longer. Wasanti and his parents were fabulous hosts and anything from the smallest thing was no problem at all. Thank you.

Located in a quiet street off the main drag of Ella and very handy for the station. This B&B is quite exceptional and the owners are very friendly and helpful. The 2 main bedrooms are large and bathrooms of a reasonable size.
Lovely balcony overlooking a well tendered garden. Food was fantastic, breakfast and dinner and lots of it! They grow their own vegetables and fruit.
Would definitely return and loved Ella.

The room was very clean, the house very quiet and the food delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home stay. Do make sure you sample the food here - it rated amongst my favourite meals in Sri Lanka.

We stayed three nights in this home-stay run by this old couple. There are only two rooms in the house. We had one with two queen-sized beds, which was a bit small for our family of four. We had two dinners here which were a very nice experience, but it is also worth exploring the town's restaurants for a change (especially for the kids). One thing that puzzled us is that it was hard to understand how much was the cost of extras (laundry, wi-fi connection, dinner). In the end they were a little more expensive than anticipated.

Amazing food - we ate most of our meals here and they were the best of our trip. All home cooked, great variety, delicious. The guesthouse feels very homely and comfortable.

Lovely balcony to relax on in the afternoon.

Very clean room and bathroom. Very comfortable - wifi, fan, and juices made from fruit in the garden.

Very friendly and helpful hosts giving us recommendations on when/how to get to ella rock, little adam's peak and 9 arch bridge, all worthwhile.

At 3000lkr/night by far the best value of our stay.

Room Tip: 2 rooms, both good.

This is such a lovely place to stay. Immaculately clean, great bathrooms, beautiful garden. The food cooked for us was awesome and very plentiful! Even had a beautiful curd and honey dessert! Wonderful family running this home we feel lucky to have been able to stay here :)

We've been to Ella several times and I have scoured the town for accomodations. There are some nice ones but by far this one suited us the best. It's a good value, has fantastic bathrooms and comfortable beds, is tucked away from the noise of town and yet has easy access and is just a short walk from the train. It's spotlessly clean, is quiet and peaceful with lots of common areas and is in a very scenic setting. The Sri Lankan cooking is the best you will find anywhere and you can arrange to have your laundry done which we were very pleased with.
But by far the best aspect of our stay here is the experience of living with a wonderful Sri Lankan family. Sumana and Karunapala are some of the sweetest and most gracious people we met anywhere in the country and we've spent months travelling here. We had the good fortune of being here for the New Years celebration and so were swept up into the family gathering as if we were a part of the extended clan also, playing cricket with the kids, sharing the rituals of the late meal, hanging out around the TV, lighting off fireworks to welcome the new year, enjoying the easy conversation of a close and loving family, feeling very much cared for and at home here. We hated to leave!!! Let yourself relax here. You won't regret it. This is a rare find.

Room Tip: The room with the full bathtub bath is a great value.
