“A great place to sit and to be”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

We sat for hours on the grass in front of Bethel Geust House. Just wondering, talking and enjoying the view. A cycle tour was about to start that day. Beside that it was pieceful and very enjoyable.

“Rizal Blvd (aka Manila's Roxas Blvd in Dumaguete)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

We walk along here after we had an afternoon snacks in Sans Rival, as expected, almost same scenery as Manila's Roxas Blvd except cleaner (though sewater is not clear for swimming per my criteria).

Saw several resto/bars across the blvd, wch probably more busier at night. Several foreigners were hanging-out on most of the resto/bars that i saw. Plus, beggars around pestering you until you give in. So think 2x when giving! Be sure you have enough coins, else. dont give as they wud flood you 1x u give.

Had a foto taken on its iconic st. paul sisters, not bad to drop by for a short walk after a meal or an early morning jog ;)

“Not for unwinding just for a short stop and jogging if you live nearby.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

Nice view and nice place to sit for a moment, don't expect fresh I polluted air as it is next to the port, a busy one. Not really a good spot for unwinding too as its not peaceful place for that, it's next to many bars and restaurants so it can get really noisy at night time.
The good side though is that if you live downtown or nearby it's a place for people to jog. You will find a lot of jiggers both at night and early in the morning.

“Nice boulevard where the heart of the city beats”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

Nice boulevard along the sea for leisurely walks and chilling. Apparently one of the most beautiful boulevard near the sea in whole the Philippines. There are several restaurants and night spots, a perfect place to enjoy local delights (tempuras, chicken or fish balls, etc.) or have a good meal. You find a lot of locals, families and tourists enjoying the special atmosphere in between a lot of pavement vendors.
The place to go in Dumaguete and downtown is close by.

“Okay but not Terrific”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

The boulevard is not much to look at and the city could use to upgrade the appearance a bit, and not just for the visitors. Why not create a beautiful park that city residents can be proud of too.
