“Be Warned”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2010

In 30+ years of travel, this is the ONLY hotel where I have had money stolen from the front desks safety deposit box!!!
Add to that the out of the way location, the poor service and dirty bed sheets and you start to get close to the South Sea Resort experience.
Not recomended to anyone who appreciates trust, honesty or safety.

First, getting there is a challenge because there aren't good street signs leading to the place. Second, when we got there, we were awestruck but how beautiful the water was, the neighboring islands nearby, and just very calm place. But we arrived at 4pm and our room was not clean. In fact, it wasn't ready until 7pm. Front desk didn't know what to do with us (4 rooms total). There's one housekeeper to clean the rooms. When our room was finally ready, dirty linen and things were parked outside our room until the next day. Our bedroom would have been cute but the bed sheets had stains, towels had stains, walls had ants crawling, and the bathroom was dirty. Since all rooms were fully booked and in the area, we had no choice but to stay there. We complained but Front Desk was much too scared, confused, and powerless. We were so yucked out we didn't get under the sheets and did not shower there at all. You want evidence? Here are some photos! For your own health, you may want to stay away. But while you're there, you simply have to appreciate the beautiful surroundings.

We stayed at the resort for a wedding reception.
Beautiful place but everything is only in the outside, landscaping is well done. The regular rooms need upgrading, suite room is better but bathroom could use some upgrades.
Food was good. if you need peace and quiet place, this is perfect.
Friendly manager.
Needs some signs to direct visitors the way to the resort. Even local pedicab drivers get lost.
