What a lovely B&B. We were very comfortable in a beautiful federation house, with a large bedroom and high ceilings. My husband and I originally booked to stay there for two weeks when we moved to Melbourne from the UK. Anne was so welcoming and could not have been more helpful.
We loved the cooked breakfasts. There was a wonderful variety of fruits prepared daily and even the orange juice was freshly squeezed.
It was in a great spot for transport links. Kooyong station was a short 5 minute walk away which takes you direct into the city. The Route 16 tram stopped a few metres down the road and goes to St Kilda. For shopping, you could try the 72 tram (a few stops down on the 16 tram) to get to Chapel Street. The only down side was that my husband, who is a light sleeper, was woken up occassionly by the trams.
If you're a dog lover you'll soon make friends with the gorgeous Chocolate Labrador 'Charlie', who enjoyed fetching the paper every morning.
There's a great place to eat about 100 metres down the road, called Cumin Thai. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable too.
As we mentioned before, we originally had planned to stay there two weeks, but had no hesitation extending our stay for another two weeks.
