“Wished we'd stayed longer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014

We stayed here for one night in November 2013. The room was fine overlooking the lovely gardens. We really enjoyed meeting the other guests for wine and nibbles and as it was a lovely evening this took place outside. The lodge is well located and just a short walk into town. Would recommend.

John and Glynis have taken over in last month from previous owners and having been well inducted are delivering an excellent experience.

Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every one. Nice touch to offer guests drinks and nibbles at 1800h. Lovely bright spacious rooms, all with access to balcony and deck. Excellent bed and bedroom service. Hot tub in garden to sooth aching limbs after walks.

Lovely, fresh breakfast prepared and served by owners. Perhaps should take the opportunity to refresh range of what us on offer. Love the fruit and freshly prepared muesli. They took opportunity to advise on activities and despite being new to the area are well versed in what is on offer. Went out of way to provide packed lunch. Accurate weather info each morning.

Very open to feedback on their service and also other restaurants and activity. Made us feel most welcome and would recommend it most strongly.

Didn't know what to expect and we were blown away by the experience. Incredibly comfortable room, wine and cheese reception, yummy breakfast, and the best part were the hosts (new owners). Having in essence free laundry was perfect as this was the half way mark on the trip. Highly recommend this charming b&b. and loved Wanaka

This Boutique B and B is nicely situated on a hill a fw minutes walk from the shops, restaurants and the water. Rooms are a nice size, comfortable, and nicely appointed. The proprietors, John and Glynnis, go out of their way to accomodate their guests, be helpful, share informatoin etc. Wonderful people and genuinely seem to want to createthe most wonderful ambiance possible. They work with you when you first get there to give you the lay of the hotel and the lay of the town. They have plenty of suggestions fo r specialty stoes, restaurants, et They convene the guests at 6pm each evening to share thoughts, experiences and ideas among guests, plus provide appetizers and wine. Breakfast is beautiful and tasty. Internet is provided.... it boils down to comfortable, great and accommodating.

This lodge has gotten extremely favorable reviews which we cannot completely share. The hosts are friendly, yes, but the rooms and bathrooms are small. Although situated in a very quiet area of Wanaka, the place can get a bit noisy when guests in the next room talk or discussions are going on in the hallway at 10:30 p.m. The breakfast room äs well äs the bedrooms could use some refurbishing. If I owned this lodge, I would convert it into a luxury lodge with only 4 rooms. This would mean quite some considerable expense but then it would truly deserve the label "luxury".
Assets are the cleanliness of the rooms, the excellent sleeping quality and the short distance to the town's center.

Only stayed a night at Springs lodge as part of our honeymoon. The hosts greeted us in the driveway and were so helpful and friendly the whole stay. We used their mountain bikes (free), had afternoon tea drinks and cheese/crackers, shared laughs, full cooked breakfast the next morning. All in all, great decision to stay here, will recommend it to everyone.

This was our forth boutique, that we had stayed in the previous three scored 9.7 9.9 .9.8 i think to be fair to these i will have to score this another 9.9 Lyn and Murray are very professional hosts ,but with a very homely touch, we enjoyed their evening drinks and talks, food accommodation perfect, as was the location.

Room Tip: all the rooms seemed to be well placed
