We chose Webster’s on Wanaka Lodge firstly because of it's location within Wanaka and its position between the two ski resorts (Treble Cone and Cardrona). Once we arrived after a short drive from Queenstown airport we knew we had made a perfect choice. The lodge was lovely and comfy with very attentive hosts Neil, Liz and daughter Megan who by the end of our stay made us feel more like friends than guests. Our room was very comfortable with robes and all amenities needed. Tea, filter coffee and homemade biscuits were also provided each day. On arrival we were greeted with wine and nibbles and felt very spoilt, breakfast was always a treat and set us up for the day. Advice was always on hand and forth-coming to organise any trips and were even booked for us. After a full day skiing/hiking we enjoyed the outdoor Spar with a glass of wine which was pure bliss after a hard day. Best of all was the kindly provided shuttle service (5 min) into town and pick up which allowed us both to have a drink without driving. This was provided as all part of the service by our gracious hosts. A ski boot drying cupboard is provided along with ski storage so you don’t have to carry your skis around in your hire car if you’re not skiing. A recent addition to the lodge is a fantastic outdoor fire and entertainments area which further improved the whole experience. This was our first trip to NZ and we had a wonderful time, we would definitely recommend a visit to this family run lodge and guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Room Tip: Book early! all rooms are great.

Thank you for such great feedback. We really enjoyed hosting you over your 7 night stay. You really made the most of your ski holiday by also managing to get a great fishing trip on the lake and a walk to Rob Roy Glacier amongst other things into your week here in Wanaka by making great use of our free information, activities, tours booking service.
The great coffee (plunger, filter and expresso) and wide selection of teas with home baking is one of our specialties. Another bonus is our in house Chef who by request prepares our all day menu and dinners tailored to your requests. I know you loved the roast lamb dinner done on the outdoor weber and were able to dine in the new outdoor entertainment area and in front of the open fire. Many of our guests are also now using our restaurant booking service the free courtesy shuttle to and from town, so they can both enjoy a bottle wine over dinner. I am sure you will be back in Wanaka sometime and look forward to hosting you in the future.

What can we say, outstanding hospitality, outstanding facilities and overall an outstanding experience. We decided to head to Wanaka for a couple of days skiing and aren't we glad we stayed at Websters on Wanaka. From the moment we arrived we felt the warmth and welcome of 3 fabulous hosts, Neil, Liz and Megan. A fire inside and outside, drinks and nibbles in the afternoon, a hot tub to soak in after a day on the slopes and a nice comfortable bed who could ask for more. But then there is the breakfast, we were definitely impressed with the breakfast assortment on offer. Everything you could want, even proper coffee. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

Thank you for your great feedback. We really enjoyed hosting you at the lodge and especially hearing about your day in front of the fire over drinks and nibbles. I know you were impressed with our central otago wines on offer. I am pleased you enjoyed breakfast as we try and set our guests up for the day with a leisurely breakfast in front of the fire over winter and lots of choices for everyone, so that they are ready for their day on the tracks and trails or the ski slopes. Our own free range aggs are a real hit. I hope you are back for a last ski before the winter is over.

Coromandel Kiwis plus one Aussie needed two rooms over three nights to stay while enjoying Wanaka and partying elsewhere. We were truly well looked after by the friendly and attentive hosts, sumptuous breakfasts, great facilities (coffees etc) and the rooms were very comfortable...and then there was the spa after skiing. A little out of town but quiet with nice views. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The disability suite is properly appointed and has adequate space

We are pleased you really enjoyed your short break with us here at the lodge. The spa has become a real hit with guests either after a day walking the tracks or skiing. The great bonus with our location is that guests do enjoy the fabulous views and the quiet, yet only being a few minutes in the car to the town centre. Our courtesy coach has been popular for those wanting a quiet drink with dinner.

We loved our 2-night stay here and loved the owners, Liz & Neil and their daughter Megan! Can't wait to go back...

The rooms are large and well appointed, with big comfy beds and all the amenities needed, including robes and nice soaps. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was wonderful. Liz and Neil thought of everything: heating lights and towel heater too! There is even a full kitchen with wonderful tea & coffee making facilities (fresh ground coffee and homemade shortbreads too!). We were the only guests there at the time so we had the lounge-room with the big flat-screen TV all to ourselves, but they do have TV's in the rooms. It was just perfect! We even ended up having dinner there using the kitchen as we always ended up arriving late after our explorations... The rooms has big windows to the view which open up to a nice verandah with tables & chairs - perfect for a morning read in the sunshine! They are also installing a spa bath on the verandah and it will be even more awesome...

The cooked breakfast was wonderful, with perfectly poached eggs, bacon & beans. There is also a nice selection of jams and local honey with yogurt & fruit provided, so you have everything needed. Nice gas fireplace in the lounge and nice bay windows to sit at and gaze at the view. Liz and Neil also invited us to sun-downer wine and nibbles at their wonderful fireplace outside and it was glorious! Such a memorable experience, we're still raving about it to all our friends! There is even a barbequeue available...

We just had the best time hear and wouldn't hesitate returning and recommending it to anyone.

Room Tip: Make sure you stay more than one night as it's worth it. Also, for families, note that you can...

Thank you for the great feedback. We so enjoyed hosting you. We consistantly try to offer extra value without additional charges. Everyone loves to know its one price. The complimentary sundowner or before dinner drinks and canapes are a popular way to meet other guests and the outdoor patio is a bonus weather permitting. Our new outdoor fireplace and entertainment area is getting loads of use. Those wanting to self cater do often book the apartment so they can have sole use of the full kitchen facilities however many booking B&B are liking our all day menu of snacks and light meals instead of eating out. We hope to see you back in Wanaka.

We spent 1 and returned for 2 nights with Liz and Neil in Wanaka. After leaving the first time we couldn't wait to return to their warm hospitality, informed tips, and intelligent conversation. The room was lovely, private, and large with a balcony right outside the double doors. We were so impressed with their kindness and supportive attitude. I too look forward to the new landscaping and hope Liz sends us an update. Stay with them, you will be so relaxed and cared for.

Room Tip: The Dublin Bay Queen Room has a large bathroom with an openable window unlike the others.

Thank you for such a great review. It was wonderful to have you back in Wanaka for 2 extra nights after your trip to Fiordland. We love sharing our local knowledge of things to do and see, many that often don't make it to the brochures. The landscaping of a whole new outdoor living, dining and patio area where we provided an evening dinner for you is now complete. The wonderful stonework and rock walls are finished and the new spa pool is here, ready to be put into place.

A really wonderful place; beautiful new room; friendliest of hosts and welcomes; great deck outside for sitting; great tea and coffee making facilities ... Great breakfast ... even a great kitten to play with (Simba). We found the B&B to be really good value. It would be a no-brainer to stay there again next time we are passing through Wanaka. It is the kind of place where it is almost worth travelling just for the accomdation, with the stunning location of Wanaka just being an added bonus :-).

Room Tip: All the rooms look good.

We are so pleased you had a great time with us. Our landscaping development is almost complete with fabulous outdoor patio and garden spaces to enjoy as well as for dining, with the outdoor fireplace being a great asset. The upstairs room you mention is a real jewel with its private balcony and lake views and more like a studio room with all that extra space. Anyone who books this is very pleased with this room choice.
