“Do not hesitate to stay here, just wonderful in every way”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2011

The room we had had 2xdoubles. very good nights sleep. the room was spacious and the bathroom was too. everything was very tastefully decorated. The staff everywhere were always smiling and always greeted us with a friendly bula. we floated between both pools and restaurants with the sheraton villas and the westin being on the same ownership. The pools were beautiful and clean, there was cleaners and gardneners out early every morning making sure everything was just right. the shops available in the lobby had everything we needed, even if the general store was a bit overpriced. the tour desk quickly and efficiently arranged all of our day trips. Cannot rate this stay high enough, would definately stay here again

Bare in mind I never liked holidaying in Fiji, we only stayed two nights here as stop over from Hawaii to New Zealand. The resort is very good. Ie, clean, attentive staff (super) unlike the Bogan ones at sonasali island resort. I would stop over here again if the chance comes again. Walk to the port takes around 20mins. But the bula bus for $7 is pretty cheap. All day pass only. The food at port denareau is gr8 if you select the right meal. Asian food cruising there isn't very nice. The lobster was very nice, and there was free wifi.

The free wifi in this hotel only lasts 30mins from sign in per day. Wahahaha. Pretty poor, but the speeds are not too bad. You can pay for extra, but at extravagant prices!!

Anyway, the rooms are very nice and clean! Free two bottles of water given every day. Only one thing to improve on here I would say is to give the water during room service instead of knocking again in the afternoon?? But like I said, I enjoyed my stay here. The single pool is pretty spacious and very clean and nice.

The ice cream is cheaper at port denareau

Stayed here for a business conference and the smiling, singing staff made this a very pleasurable stay. You immediately will feel relaxed here. You are away from the 'real' Fiji but if you want the 'resort' holiday this is very good. There are pools and ocean for swimming. Golf, gym and tennis courts for other sports. There is a beutiful glass walled chapel for weddings which is on the beach at the resort if this is on the agenda.

The resort is beautiful with manicured gardens and very friendly, smiling staff. Be mindful though that if you're after a quiet holiday then this is probably not the place for you as it promotes itself as a family friendly resort thus can be quite noisy with kids all over. Rooms are somewhat small with only basic amenities, bathrooms more luxurious. Also Ocean view could often mean only a distant view of the ocean and Ocean breeze means rooms facing the back. Food and drinks are very expensive at any of the hotel's bars or restaurants.

We have just arrived back from a 10 night stay at the Sheraton and had a wonderful holiday. We were travelling as a family with two boys ages 5 and 4. We booked with 'My Fiji' which included the buffet breakfast and dinner (dinning at different restaurants across the three Starwood resorts Sheraton, Sheraton Villas and the Westin). The deal included a two coarse dinner which only excluded a couple of really expensive items on the menu like Lobster. The Sheraton only has one pool which is in between the Feast restaurant and Flying Fish. We had a room close the the Sheraton Villas and ended up using the pool for the Sheraton Villas the most. The pool was a good temperture at the sheraton Villas, the pool at the Sheraton which is great for younger kids is a little cooler. We had an ocean view room on the ground floor which was nice however a room was little small. We stayed at the Shangri La Fijian on the Coral Coast last year and the room was larger there we found.
Flying Fish (Sheraton) and Moo Moo (Westin) restaurants were amazing dinning experience. They are both set on the beach with some of the tables on the sand. The service was fast and what you would expect and any five star restaurant. I am a vegetarian and had great food at both. My husband eats meat and enjoyed lamb, prawns, steak. If you go to Moo Moo you must try the chocolate fudge brownie, it is the best dessert I have every had. After dinning at Flying Fish and Moo Moo's we went to the Sheraton's finest restaurant Port O Call which was disappointing, I gave them 4 days notice that I was a vegetarian and the only thing they offered was a cheese rissoto, my husband had a steak and thought that the steak was better at Flying Fish. The buffet breakfast at Feast was great with many different choices including pancakes, pastries, freshly cut fruits and they cook omelets to order.
There is a cafe just out the front of the Sheraton which has sandwhiches, pizza, hotdogs and is a fraction of the price to buy food at the Pantry in the Sheraton. Next to the cafe is a deli and small supermarket where you can buy supplies.
I read on trip advisor before we went that you can use the facilities at all the other resorts on Denarau Island however we went and used the pool at the Radisson as they have a pool slide and were ask to leave by the staff. Our kids had a blue wrist band on from the Sheraton to eat at the restaurants so it was obvious that we were from the Sheraton. It was ashame as the pool slide was great and our kids loved it.
Well I hope that this information is helpful and you have a great holiday.

Beautiful resort, great for families and couples. Very friendly staff, clean, good selection of restaurants and dining experiences. Plenty to do. I have stayed here before, a good choice of pools, fabulous golf course. Wine is expensive.

We stayed at the Sheraton on our way back from Castaway Island. It might be that it was such a stark contrast to our Island experience but the service was poor (I had trouble getting noticed by a bunch of gossiping staff twice!) and the resort was incredibly noisy at night (two competing bands with live music).

All in all we could cope as it was effectively being used as an airport hotel for us. But if you want a Fiji experience - head to the islands. At the Sheraton you could have been anywhere in the world. The pool is nice but the beaches at Denaru are very average.

We were traveling with a toddler, some of the family friendly things that you get at other resorts (like early eating options) don't exist. Also, compared to Castaway - the kids club felt like his regular childcare centre - none of the fantastic personalised service you get out on the islands.

If you are travelling with small children, suck it up and head to the islands. It is only an hour by boat and so worth making your stay in Fiji a Fijian holiday rather than a holiday in a hotel that could be anywhere in the world.

If you have to stay in Denaru - the Raddison and Hilton looked much better.

Room Tip: Try to avoid backing on to the restaurants because of noise.
