“Great Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

We read the reviews on trip advisor and decided to go. It was well worth it. Most of the restaurants we could find in many different towns in Puerto Rico were either over priced Hotel style restuarants or little dives wtih decent food but not a lot of ambience. This had a simple and relaxed vibe but very pretty. What I would expect on an island vacation! It is a limited menu but everything on it was great!! The ginger-honey sauce on the fresh fruit is amazing! The owner greets each table and introduces herself- and learns your name. She makes you feel like a guest in her home. She told us she was starting small and as things picked up she would eventually open for dinner. I imagine that will not take long!!

“Best Breakfast In Years”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

We were staying at the over-priced Conquistador hotel with its terrible breakfasts and set out in search of something better-- anything-- and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. Glady's, the owner, greets you, asks your name and remembers it! She serves an amazing fruit plate that is the best I have ever eaten with the sauce she simmers from fresh ginger root, cinnamon stick and honey. It brings it all together. The egg dishes are delicious, the coffee perfect with hot milk, and fresh squeezed oj. The view is lovely, the place is spotless and even the china is charming. We are going there again tomorrow before we leave. It's a little hard to find-- but look for her signs. She is open 8am until 2:00 and only serves brunch.

“The brunch place to go in Puerto Rico.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013 via mobile

This place is worth going from San juan to get away from the bustle of the city. The chill back atmosphere and ambience will make you want to go back. It is located on top of a hill where there is an amazing breeze all the time and an wonderful view of the ocean. The food is also awesome and reasonably priced. (Our friend, Gabriel, had two servings both times we came). Gladys, the owner, is really sweet, and the service is excellent.

“AWESOME! Homemade Mango Jelly!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Great place with Fresh food. Beautiful scenery. Was a bit hard to find at first, but there are signs up at various places to help you get there. Located on top of a hill. Bring your cameras.
We went there one morning for breakfast and loved it so much that some of our party had us delay a tour we had set up the next day because, "We're going back to see Gladys!" is what they said. We first went on a Sunday and the cafe is closed on Tues. & Wed., so Monday was our last chance to go back before our vacation was over. The food was awesome. The service was even better. You will be offered a fresh fruit platter to start your meal, say YES. I don't really like mango but her homemade mango jelly is awesome. I loved the french toast. Everyone totally enjoyed their meals here. Gladys is overall one of the coolest people I've ever met. Our server Carlos was great! If you are in the Fajardo area, I totally suggest you visit this cafe and make Glady's dream come true. She hopes to open a bed and breakfast and we hope that dream of hers also comes true!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

this was first time I have been this little cafe. I like to say the owner was friendly and so were the staff. You have great view of all around you.. The food was EXCELLENT, I especially reccommend the fruit plater with the secret sauce, that is to die for.
