“Las Casitas Puerto Rico”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

A very beautiful resort. We enjoyed privacy of the Las Casitas. We requested bottled water several times during the day due to the tap water was slightly brown. When arriving the hot water heater was not turned on and we waited for house keeping to clean the room. When visiting the El Conquistador the restaurant and lobby areas smelt of mold and mildew. Because of the communication gap I used offsite services such as 787fishing,com who was excellent! Lastly, Walmart does not sell meat and fruit, however there is a ECONO adjacent it that is a full grocery store. I ate at the Metopolis and did not like it at all for many reasons. I had a great vacation and would stay at the Las Casitas in the future.

We were prepared for poor service. Prior to arriving at casitas, we stayed at the ritz in isla verde. Not quite as beautiful of a property, but wow, they go above and beyond for their guests. We were warned that service was not so great at casitas. We have been here at least 4 times and this was the poorest of them all. The beach is great and so is the infinity pool, but nothing that was wrong with our room was addressed and any request was received like we were pulling out their teeth. It was the low season, they should have been bending over backwards for us. The property is beautiful. Spa was great. Beach was nice. Pool view is spectacular. Room quality and service were on the low end during this stay.

Dear Jennifer G,

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your recent visit. We are so sorry the upgraded accommodations we extended ended up being a challenge with a defective refrigerator. We take great pride in keeping all the villas in the best condition and cleanliness level but we clearly missed the mark here as we should have been able to make this right.

We all regret how this negatively affected your stay and perception of the resort but do hope you will give us a chance to turn this around by visiting us again. Please do feel free to reach out to us when you do.

Sincerely,

Maxence Bonnamain

EXCELLENT SERVICE YOLANDA AND CARMEN AND THE REST OF THE STAFF EXCELLENT. They staff make sure that you really get a good service in the minimum detail. The pool area amazing for kids. The kids really enjoy the pool area. They have a lot of pools. The beach white sand clear water you have to go in the hotel boat to the beach because its located in an island. Lovely. Food restaurant Strip House good meat $$$ and the lobster bisque excellent. The Piccolo Fontana excellent Italian high quality excellent service.

beautiful resort, great people, I would have stated it was excellent however, room wasn't ready and there were ant's in the bathroom. They did end up getting us another casita on the side, same ocean view and the ant's weren't reported since I only stayed the night. Transportation fees are also pricey. To the airport plan on spending $100. and to the bay $35., if you have your own vehicle great, otherwise, plan on the extra expense.

Las Casitas is a little town that is really a little paradise. Always some nice view from any angle, landscaping is prime, service is superb, and the overall ambiance is like a dream. I strongly recommend staying at villa 5391, with connecting rooms 5392 and 5393. It is close to everything. The infinity pool is exciting, but the main pool on the upper area is the best! Several jacuzis too! Great for the kids, especially the Palomino Island, a private isle with lots of amenities. The horseback ride to the top of the hill was great.

Dear Gina D,

Than you for honoring us with your first TripAdvisor review. Las Casitas Village is indeed a very special place, our very own paradise on earth. Our team members will be most appreciative to hear about your feedback regarding service and so will our head of landscaping who is an extremely passionate individual. As a Waldorf Astoria we aim to be about Inspirational Environments and True Waldorf Service. By the way, just a little something to look forward for your next visit. We have been developing an herb and orchid garden which can be visited upon request.

Sincerely,

I must say the place is beautiful and the villas itself are clean and very comftable. But the check-in staff are horrible. For a hotel soo expensive you expect courtious staff that gives an extra mile to make you feel comfortable. We had to wait more than 1 hour after check-in time for our room, they were not nice enough to offer us a drink. At checkout we were threatened by phone to leave the room or to be charged an extra day. I am a world traveler and have never been treated with so little courtesy.

Dear annayblacky,

Thank you for keeping us on our toes, even the most beautiful views and fanciest accommodations are not enough to create a memorable experience. We strive to provide "True Waldorf Service" which is characterized by authentic interactions that inspire a yearning to return. Obviously this was not the case here so please accept my apologies on behalf of the team. Dear annayblacky, we would love to welcome you back to the Resort and since you leave in Puerto Rico, I would be thrilled if you contacted me (LasCasitasConcierge@LuxuryResorts.com) so that I can personally guarantee you an early check-in and late check-out during that next visit.

Warm regards,
