We did this on our 3rd day. We stayed at Gran Melia. And it took us about 25 minutes without getting lost! We did pass the marina entrance.but. Just barely... Do the AM tour. Not as busy!
Each party of up to 4 people get there own boat, and you drive it. My husband and 19 yr old son had a blast driving it! You will get soaked, and it is a rather rough ride, but so much fun! We are former boaters, and used to drive our inflatable zodiac around Catalina, so it was just like that! You go at a pretty fast pace to keep up with your group. We had about 6 boats (2 were our party)
They took us to a great snorkel area and had plenty of time to swim around. The snorkel equipment was very clean and appeared new, fins were supplied too. ( hint). They should fit snugly! The worst part for me was climbing back into the boat. I'm not the most graceful / some mobility issues.. But they do provide ladders if needed. Personally I would have done better just to have had my hubby push me up and over the side! Some people elected not to swim as I think they were afraid of getting back in the boats. Second stop was the spit of land next to palomino island. (Palominto isle). This is the spot where Penelope Cruz was left on the sand. In the last pirates of the Caribbean This has to be the most beautiful spot in Puerto Rico !
We bought the picture package for 15 dollars great deal! But still trying to figure out if I can print from the Flickr site.
Highly recommend it. It was so much fun! But not if you have back problems! or are afraid to get wet!
