We stayed at the Hotel Fajardo Inn as a romantic getaway. The place is very nice, clean and the staff is very friendly. We had a great time. We got there around 2:00pm; we were lucky to check in at that time because our room was available and ready but not without kindly reminders that check in were suppose to be after 4:00pm. The room was spacious and clean, the bed mattress was; I guess one of those memory foam mattresses, if you're familiar with those and like it, then good, but is not my cup of tea; although, we did sleep in nicely. The layout of the premises is odd and need time to figure it out, but is really nice to walk around exploring the place; they do give you a map of the place. The main pool, Palmetto’s Pool is nice but Coco's Park is the place to go (pools, mini golf and more). During our stay the Blue Iguana Restaurant was closed, not really sure why, no explanations given just a sign posted outside the restaurant door. Our stay included continental breakfast serve at the Starfish Restaurant, (only rest. on site that was open) your choice of either toast or pastries, juice and coffee, beware of this offer is ridiculous, one morning no pastries just toast, the other morning they had both but you could only have either a toast, or a bagel or a muffin, most people ended ordering from the menu, but almost $9 for some eggs is a joke plus coffee is really bad, just go to any bakery nearby, way better food and coffee for less money, in fact eat all your meals outside, try La Estacion and Pasion por el Fogon, really, really good, yummy food, also for a more local experience go to La Estrella del Norte (it was closed during our trip much to my despair, I was really looking forward to those arepas and pastelillos de chapin) Aside from food issues, the place is really nice, we found it easy to get there, there are public beaches nearby (Seven Seas, Luquillo), also to El Yunque Rainforest, there is a lot to do nearby during the day and at night just go ask the staff, but you will need a car or transportation arrangements.

I stayed in the hotel with a group of friends and family, including three kids. The location and price are excellent, however the service in the restaurant was not. We went to the restaurant and had to wait over an hour to get our food. The order was not complete, they didn't know what we ordered, kids food was the last one to be served (it was a hot dog and fries and had to wait 1:10 hrs for that). The next day I went to had breakfast that was included with the package, I also wanted to have scramble eggs that I was going to pay, but the waitress told me that it can not be done like that because it was not in the menu. Theres was only one waitress for the whole restaurant.
It has a great price, but I would not recomend it for more than 2 days.

Stayed @ the Inn from 5/31-6/05 I really enjoyed this place out of the way on the east side of the island away from the crowds of Old San Juan but not to far that you couldn't visit. Close beaches Seven Seas, and Lequillo good for the family. My mother, my 3 Kids and my girlfriend and I all stayed in one of there 3 bed Room. It had 3 beds seperated by walls (pratically room) 2 dresses, a fridge, TV w/ cable, 2 Bathrooms, and the master bedroom had a door and is own bath room. The pools were as billed in the pictures large with a great island feel . It was close to all your state side staples ie..(Mcd's, Wal-mart, Walgreens and even a Cold Stone. The staff was Extremly friendly providing maps, directions, and advise of local attractions even setting up a Bio-bay tour @ La Granda Reserve for my girlfriend and I BTW this was a must C while on the Island.
All and All a wonderful trip made more so a The Fajardo Inn. the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because of the Restaraunts @ the Hotel The Quality was just okay and they were Very Priceeeee! I would suggest the Golden Sweet bakery just down the road from the hotel Very good and high value

We stayed at the Fajardo Inn twice while in Puerto Rico. My boyfriend who is much pickier than I loved it. The hotel is bland as far as personality but it is rich in amenities and great for the price. We paid $130 a night which included breakfast (and not just some continental thing, but any breakfast from the regular menu that we would like). The rooms were basic but very spacious and clean with TV and AC. There were several restaurants and late night entertainment on the premises as well as a pool. Also is a gym with tons of equipment for I think a $5 or $10 charge. The staff are totally helpful and gave us all sorts of information about the different activities in the area.

We stayed here one night because we took the ferry to Culebra the next day and then again on the way back because we did the biobay tour. I highly recommend both visiting Culebra which had the most gorgeous beach I have ever been to (Flamenco). And if you do check out the bioluminescence bay I would recommend the company with the glass bottom kayaks. I've seen this phenomena in Vietnam, but the intensity was so much cooler in Puerto Rico.

As for Fajardo Inn. I would definitely stay there again!!

People at the hotel were very nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Our room had a balcony with a view of the ocean in the distance (the hotel is on top a hill). The hotel has nice gardens and its located in a quiet area.
Call before you go. There are directions to the hotel at its website but the roads are not well marked. We got lost and wondered around for at least half and hour.
