If you have no problem with a dirty Vegas then you will love this place. What a huge disappointment! Way over priced...for example the breakfast buffet was $50 not including tax and tip. If I am paying $25 per person for a buffet then you better have lobster and filet mignon for breakfast not heat lamp eggs, fruit and orange juice. Need I go on...I will. The rooms are totally out dated and so is the entire atmosphere. My husband played gold (he has a 4 handicap) so he has played all over the world and has never been charged $155.00 for a course that is equivalent to a public course in New Jersey. We even went with friends and tried to laugh it off but had to leave early because after 3 days we realized it was not funny anymore. Anyone who loves this place thinks has clearly never travelled.

I would say that the title of my review is all you need to know. The resort is very pretty. BUT as you have read in all the reviews on here. This place nickle and dimes you to death. Make sure you check your bill very well. You will be hit with the 40$ random hotel charge. Not really sure what it was for. The transfers from the airport were $110 each way!!!! Take a Cab.
When we were there the elevator and tran system where both broken and the faucet in my room came off in my hand. The final insult was when I was Charged 75 cents for a cup of ice!!!!! I almost fell off my chair.
Do youself a favor. Just go to an all-inclusive and bring the kids to a water park for the day. You won't end up spending 1000s in fees and high priced food.

If you are a millionaire and can afford this hotel, then you will have a great time as it is beautiful. The problem with this hotel is that it leaves you with a bad aftertaste. We went this July 4th weekend and it was packed. We spent 30 minutes in line to check in. Then our reservation was incorrect, only 1 bed for 4 people. I had to get angry for them to find me a room with double beds. The one thing that bothered me the most was when they search your belongings before you board on the ferry to Palomino Island. They are not searching for a bomb, they are searching for a bun or any other food or drink item to take it away from you.. The purpose is for you to spend the ridiculous amounts they charge at their restaurants including in Palomino. $15 for a chicken sandwich, etc. It feels like they want to rip you off everywhere in the resort. Self parking is $15 and you have to walk very far to get to your car. You have to validate a parking ticket every time you take your car and it is only valid for 20 minutes. If you take longer than that, you have to make the line again and validate again. I would recommend the valet parking for $5 more if you have a car.
I have to say that the resort is beatiful, the island is nice although it is very rocky, take some water shoes. We swam across to Palominito, only try it with lifevests and if you are in good shape but it is very doable. The pools are also very nice and well kept.
In summary, if money is no object, go for it. If you work hard for your money like me and don't like to get ripped off, then avoid it.
