We stayed here 2 nights and noticed a few things. While the hotel is amazing and the property could not be nicer the hotel could use some painting, some areas are really just looking not so fresh.

Our room was lovely but the floor was not clean when we checked in. We called housekeeping and they came immediately. That was great.

The hotel staff was wonderful, we spoke with a lovely woman in one of the shops who gave us some great advice on the local food. Also one of the concerige, was lovely too.

I booked "amex magic nights" fourth night free, 2 daily breakfast for 3 days and two one day water park passes requested two queen beds but was assigned two full size beds. It was that or a king size bed and an air bed for my teenage daughter, for the price I considered it unfair. After considering to cancel the reservation they offered a transfer to Las Casitas Villas, very nice rooms and ocean views but very uncomfortable full size beds, my back still hurts. The first morning I had to stand in line for more than 25 minutes to be seated for breakfast ,it was very disorganized. They overbooked rooms and we received a poor service. At the concierge desk, for one question I was given 3 different answers and none of them where certain. I was misinformed by phone. About the water park, it is small, stairs to get to the slides stink like urine. They gave me a bottle of wine and apologized, that did not make it better. Y do not think I would go again and I can not recommend it. I hope you have a better experience.

we just retured from a family vacation at the El Conquistador.in Puerto Rico. While we had some initial difficulty with the room we requested, the staff more than made up for it by immediately switching us to a more appropriate room. I have to say that the hotelseemed a little run down in places, but overall it was a beautiful setting and the staff could not have been nicer and accomodating to our every need. The one thing that was tough was evening activities, especially with kids in the 12-17 years range. Outside of dinner, there is not a lot to do for them. The water parks closed early, but it was really fun. The beach was phenomena, but again, it closed early. The restaurants were very overpriced for the quality of the food, although ballyhoo's seemed to be the best deal.. All in all, we had a great time

I just visited this hotel with my family. We stayed at Las Casitas Village for 7 nights. The villa’s view was spectacular and was very clean. We called guest service a couple of times and were quickly assisted. We never had any problems with towels or linen, they were very attentive with our needs. Lilliam in las Casitas Reception was always very useful, as well as all bell staff and the waiters from Infinity pool. We went to Coqui Waterpark but it was raining so much, we could enjoy it very much. Also, went to Palomino which is beautiful, yet the drinks at the beach are watery (not good at all). But overall, it was a nice vacation, I hope to come next year as well.

We recently returned from a wonderful tip to the El Conquistador. Our room, view, private island -- all were wonderful. We had stayed here when it was a Wyndham 4 years ago and it appears that the new owners have done some renovations. The only part I didn't like was that our bathroom (which was huge) had a sliding, non-locking door which is not good if you have little kids. We opted for the Water Park package, which was a fabulous deal. My only complaint was the prices of the food. You're pretty much stuck on the resort unless you have a rental car and the owners definitely gouge the food prices. Otherwise, we had a wonderful 5 day stay and would definitely return.
