I guess we had greater expectations about El Conquistador. I took my wife and daughter there for a three day weekend vacation. Room was dirty. Even after we notified front desk about the cleanliness of the room, housekeeping went but still left dust on the headboards, lamps, balcony floor tile was filthy etc. Door in the storage cabinet was broken, I expected better from a five star hotel as everyone thinks of it. Food is too expensive with an average quality. Management should adjust prices accordingly in restaurants. Maintenance should take a look at safety issues in all elevators plus looking at remodeling in many areas. Some of the staff really needs some schooling from managers or even formal training as far as customer service goes. I believe that people makes a difference at workplace and El Conquistador should be looking at its management and work their way to make this what it used to be.
