“Awesome local cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

We were told about this restaurant from the staff at el Conquistador and showed up without a reservation on a very busy night. They told us they would have us seated within 40 minutes and they did. While we waited we enjoyed a spirited game of pool as well as an awesome margarita on the rocks. The bar tender was friendly and jovial, and the waitress was passionate about her job and the restaurant. She took the time to teach our kids how they wind the straws and explained away any questions we had on the menu. The food we had was amazing and the portions were generous. After we ate the kids discovered a play area with a tire swing and some toys for younger kids. This place is a diamond in the rough!

“Delish and Fresh”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

What a cool place! We dined there this past Saturday night after making a reservation through our concierge service at Las Casitas Village. For some reason, when I called the restaurant for directions, they didn't have record of our reservation. This kind of thing, unlike other over-critical travelers, doesn't bother me, especially since the hostesses fit us in and seated us at the next avail table.

The waiter was a friendly guy from the states who always paid close attention to our orders. He also offered great advice for places to go around the area for cheap souveneirs and such.

The prices were reasonable (cheaper than the resort) and the food was noticably fresh and carefully prepared.

A MUST-DINE when in Fajardo. :)

“Fun atmosphere, good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013 via mobile

My girlfriends and I went here the other night, based on a local's recommendation. We made a reservation, based on other reviews and it was quite busy for a Monday night. The atmosphere is laid back and the outdoor seating is just what you want on an vacation. Loved the mofongo and strong drinks. The service was friendly, a bit slow, but nothing different than anything else in PR. we asked for tips for the rest of our stay and the staff was super helpful.

“Better than resort food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013 via mobile

We decided to stop by after reading many reviews as it was just around the corner from where we were staying at the El Conquistador. We called and made a reservation for 2 after reading that reservations are a must. We were greeted by a very friendly staff and the atmosphere was fun. The food was pretty good and authentic but it did not have a ton of options. If I am in the area again in the future, I will definitely stop by but would not make a special trip back. While the food was good, the staff and atmosphere made it worth it. If you are staying close by or going to the biobay, give it a try.

“No Fish, No Lobster, and Tequila that Tastes like Banana Rum!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

I took my foodie wife to La Estacion for her 50th Birthday as we were staying in El Conquistidor (where the food leaves something to be desired as well). We went there for the famed grilled whole fish of the day. But alas, no fish was caught that day or no lobster! They are in sight of the Caribeen Ocean and couldn't get fish?!? So we toughed it out. We had the Cod Fritters (which had no cod in it we could tell), Shrimp Pinchos which was just frozen shrimp grilled, and Mofongo with Mahi Mah & Shrimp ... that was the only acceptable dish. As well, we ordered Margartias that had tequila that tasted too much like Banana Rum or gasoline. We could'nt decide.

At the end we drove a mile to Panda Express on Rte #3 and had much better food.

Stay away at all costs.

We can't wait to get to Old San Juan and enjoy true quality fare.
