We just came back from a late night dinner at Rosa's Seafood in Fajardo Puerto rico. We had been in Puerto Rico for more than a week looking to try some authentic or at least decent tasting food. We were staying at the El Conquistador Hotel and had eaten at both highly rated restaurants available at the hotel. Stingrays and The Strip House Steak House. Both are good but insanely overpriced for the amount of food you receive.
After a little research we managed to narrow down our choices and went to eat at Rosa's Seafood. The choice did not disappoint! For starters we had the Ceviche and the coconut curry Shrimp. both were succulent fresh and completely delectable.
Our main courses were the Chilean sea bass and the papardelle pasta and sea food. Both dishes were plentiful, tasteful, amazing presentation very filling.
One should try their signature cafe aux lait which is prepared with a selection od spices that takes this every day beverage to a new level.
We managed to speak at length to the chef/owner Luis who explained to us that most locals find his restaurant too expensive but he refuses to skimp on quality. After the poor experience at ElConquistador Rosa's Seafood was a marvel.
GO and enjoy the celebration of amazing tastes and textures.
By the way the ambiance is nothing special but don't let that distract you. Luis is passionate about his cooking and has over 20 years experience having spent time learning his craft inVenice!
