“Foodies paradise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

We just came back from a late night dinner at Rosa's Seafood in Fajardo Puerto rico. We had been in Puerto Rico for more than a week looking to try some authentic or at least decent tasting food. We were staying at the El Conquistador Hotel and had eaten at both highly rated restaurants available at the hotel. Stingrays and The Strip House Steak House. Both are good but insanely overpriced for the amount of food you receive.
After a little research we managed to narrow down our choices and went to eat at Rosa's Seafood. The choice did not disappoint! For starters we had the Ceviche and the coconut curry Shrimp. both were succulent fresh and completely delectable.
Our main courses were the Chilean sea bass and the papardelle pasta and sea food. Both dishes were plentiful, tasteful, amazing presentation very filling.
One should try their signature cafe aux lait which is prepared with a selection od spices that takes this every day beverage to a new level.
We managed to speak at length to the chef/owner Luis who explained to us that most locals find his restaurant too expensive but he refuses to skimp on quality. After the poor experience at ElConquistador Rosa's Seafood was a marvel.
GO and enjoy the celebration of amazing tastes and textures.
By the way the ambiance is nothing special but don't let that distract you. Luis is passionate about his cooking and has over 20 years experience having spent time learning his craft inVenice!

“Local Flavors”

A nice little family restaurant that is consistently good. However it is over rated by those who say it is Fajardo's best, it is not. It is a little overpriced also.

“It was ok....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

This restaurant was ok. Food was good but not the best I tasted. It was tricky finding this place and you go thru parts of town that don't seem to safe so be very careful. They only had 1 waiter who was taking orders and serving the food and busing the tables and bartending. Poor guy was doing it all. Felt sorry for him. He told us that was his last night there. He could not do it by himself anymore. They give you over size plates and food quantity is small. The kids were starving and we had to order another plate for them as it was not enough what was given. Would I come back here? Probably not. But worth a try for 1st timers. At least I can say I tried it.

“Great Lobster friendly service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012

Local seafood prepared with fresh ingrediants to order. What the restaurant may lack in atmosphere is made up for by the delicious food. Hard to find, alittle out of the way, but worth finding.
